Take pleasure in all things and all things become beautiful.

Experts say you should visualize yourself accomplishing your goal. Set yourself up to succeed, not to fail. Worry is negative goal setting. By thinking about what you're worried about you are telling your subconscious that is what you want. Write out positive statements about accomplishing your goals and whenever you find…

Thank you everyone for your support and ideas. I know there are plenty of good reasons to eat healthy and exercise. I was going through a down time when I posted this (mostly from sugar withdrawals). I am feeling much better now. I really appreciate everyone and your suggestions.

Thank you for your response. Got the shoe thing covered. My grandkids moved 900 miles away. Don't have a "girl" problem with the hubby. He knows I can do stuff he can't. Don't go to the doctor. But I know I could be healthier. Thanks. I really appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks for the idea but when I start eating right the grocery bill usually goes up because I buy more fresh vegetables and and leaner meats.

Thank you. You are right things can definitely be better.

you can update your weight using the check-in tab. It won't change your starting weight but it will make your current weight correct.

Hello Rider, I am just starting over. I set my husband up on here so we could track his calories and get his blood sugar under control and he wanted me to "diet" with him so here I am. Glad you are seeing success.

I used quinoa as a substitute for potatoes in my sausage and egg casserole and it's really nummy. Even my husband eats it. 1lb turkey sausage chopped veggies as desired (I use mushrooms and green onion. Last time I added shredded carrots too. Fresh tomato also works well but add that after everything else is cooked) 8 oz.…

what kind of food choices do you want help with?

Sugar is deadly addictive (I know). Some things that help are to eat regularly so your blood sugar doesn't get too low because then your body starts craving sugar to bring it back up again, eating plenty of protein because it helps regulate blood sugar (see above), drinking plenty of water because sometime you think you're…

I've done this especially when singing to children, for instance we used to have a lot of animals when my youngest son. Mack, was growing up so I would sing "Old Mack Douglas had a farm, eieio, " and hen we would name off the animals that we had.

Don't forget streting and flexibility exercises. Try to encorporate fun things that will carry you through when you get bored with routines. When the weather is nice do your walking outside or plan a hike with a picnic. If you live near water see if you can rent a row boat. Put together a vegetable garden that you all work…

If you are feeling blahh after your workout maybe you are over doing it. try changing it up. Do something different for a few days and see if you get unstuck.

Good Morning, Yesterday was a blown off day. Still trying to get back in gear after my long time away, but decided to get up early this morning for some "me time" before the rest of my responsibilities wake up. My Tuesday involves (condenced list) taxi service for my boys, caring for my aunt, and taking my husband to the…

Looks like pizza to me.

A lot of it depends on what is "normal" for your family. Stir fry can be a very low cal meal as well as grilled chicken breast with vegetables or a nice salad with shrimp or tuna mixed in for protien and the dressing on the side. See if there is a way to turn your "normal" meals healthy.

If you go below 1200 calories a day you risk having your body go into starvation mode where it will do everything it can to keep from starving to death. In starvation mode your body holds on to fat like a drowning man holding on to a life perserver. Not only will you loose weight more slowly, but the weight you do loose…

I've noticed that I find it easier to get up in the morning if I have exercised the day before.

Congratulations, and by the way you look great!

Thanks all of you for your comments. I have been doing mostly frozen or fresh vegies and chicken. I will check out those recipie sites. I was thrilled to find out that Larabars are low sodium. I do track my sodium on my MFP food diary now, I never did before, but I have found some of the entries have the sodium content…

you have to enjoy the journey as well as the destination or else you will get off the train before you get there, especially if the trip is a long one. Remember that changing eating habits is forever and learning how to handle temptation is part of that. You did great and started develpoing a new way to deal with pie. Keep…

If you over work youself you will zap your energy instead of increasing it. I had that problem when I fist started running. I felt great while I was running and burning all thos calories, but I was pushing myself too hard and when I go home from my run I was too exhausted to do anything else all day. I had to slow down and…

Believe it or not he can be eating more without you even knowing it. Not that he is sneaking it behind your back or anything like that, but he can be feeding more vigorously. If he is about to go through a groth spurt he will feed in a way that your body will respond by producing more milk. Also the fact that he is feeding…

I enjoy a nice walk outside, but if you are looking for fun think of what you liked to do as a kid. Rollerskatting is good exercise, so is pumping a swing as high as you can. Play a game of tag, or tennis, or put on your favorite dance tunes and just dance, dance, dance. Go skipping in the rain or sunshine. Try vinyasa…
