  • my diet wasnt so great it was high in veggies and fruits and carbs and very little else. i've started taking vitamins and supplements and now boosting my diet with chicken fish and protein shakes so im hoping it will stop. the odd thing is about 6 months ago i was really ill, had a terrible goitre and aching throat. my…
  • Yeast? i hadnt heard of that..i was told protein and b vitamins/ zinc. I dont think i eat anything at all with yeast in it
  • How much do you gain and how quickly? i made the mistake of eating 1200 calories and sure i lost too but i was always hungry and tired. I upped to 15-1600 and initially i did have weight gains but it steadied and i started to lose again. Weight training helps too i can eat so much more since i started that.
  • Im the same. I can happily go most of the day without feeling too hungry but come evening i always want to eat. I made the mistake before of not leaving any calories and then i was practically eating my own arm. Now i keep 10cal jellies in the fridge and keep back 150cals for that evening munchies snack
  • I dont usually hear it i usually have my ipod on pretty loud but it just happened to be between tracks. Its weird but even if i try and push harder when it beeps at max it never goes above 179
  • im doing on average about 8.5 miles cross country and uphill climbing. im 155lbs. my calorie burn if i go with my daughter is around 822 but the pace is a lot slower. i wasnt sure if max heart rate of 179 means in unfit and i should try to improve it?? I know the resting heart rate is okay but wasnt sure about the max
  • I think that was Dawn Porter and a programme called super slim me. i watched that it was quite an eye opener
  • Try drinking a glass of water. Often people think theyre hungry when theyre actually thirsty. If after 20mins you still feel hungry then you genuinely are so eat something. Salad has very little calories but will fill you up till the next meal. Your stomach will shrink to a normal size eventually
  • Get lifting  heavy as you can and go for it. Best fat buster there is.
  • I do have a lot of meals that i love and stick to quite a lot. At the moment im addicted to minted beans (canellini, kidney, borlotti, butter) cooked drained then tossed in mint vinaigrette. I never get tired of it and eat it at least one meal a day.
  • why why WHY do people suddenly feel the need to preach to everyone just because theyve gone on a diet!?! If they've posted asking for advice FINE give your opinion, but there's no need to jump up in a pulpit and start preaching how other people should live just because YOU have gone on a diet. I'll eat how i want ( no im…
  • i refused to have any taken for years and the odd one i did get caught out on i tore up so i dont have any. In a way i regret it because i cant see my total progress but also to have one would have been a massive deterrent to gaining again. You'll get there, just keep on pushing and it eventually pays off :)
  • yes its definitely 8 miles my daughter has an app that works it all out. it takes us around 2.5 hours but we walk at a pretty fast pace. My hrm calculated the calories i burned at 742 and thats with a chest strap. I do eat some of that back usually but not all of it although i have cut my calories a lot the last 2 days
  • oh thankyou ill take a look at this, ill try anything right now!
  • i'm 5ft 10 and my boyfriend is 5ft 7 and we both are more than happy with that. He encourages me to wear heels which i do a lot and he actually loves that im taller than him. Funny but i never see him as shorter than me he just is what he is.
  • yes my calorie intake was around 1500 before the 1800 and before that when i first started i stupidly set too low at 1200 but quickly realised my mistake. I wouldnt worry so much if i wasnt visibly carrying too much fat on my lower half...not a good look
  • are you losing inches rather than weight tho? im not you see which is why im more concerned. if i was getting smaller i wouldnt worry about what weight i was.
  • thankyou :D
  • Im from England :) there are quite a lot of us here too. There are people from all over the world they just come on here at different times according to where they live
  • fantastic well done. you'll have a great holiday im sure
  • omg EAT!!! youre living on 300 calories a day!! no wonder youre not losing youre starving your body. Even at 5ft tall you'd probably need at least 1200 calories a day WITHOUT exercise.
  • My worst is actually quite funny but it wasnt at the time. I went to see Bridget Jones Diary at the cinema with friends and our seats were right at the front. Had great fun giggling at the movie but as the credits rolled i stood up and the elasticated waistband of my giant sized skirt caught ion the seat handle pulling it…
  • Thanks for listening everyone i really appreciate it :flowerforyou: i guess ive learned my lesson and i just wont mention anything about it any more
  • No he hasnt spoken to me since even though i nicely pointed out how supportive i am of him no matter how many times we discuss the same subject. I explained how important my weight loss journey was to me and how hard it has been......he ignored it and hasnt spoken since :ohwell:
  • Oh definitely!! think he's still taking it out on me as he hasnt spoken to me and he's normally called at least twice by now. i guess im just meant to take it without complaint. Hey i could even get to like being called boring if i try hard :ohwell:
  • thankyou :) i guess half the problem is i feel so much pressure to look good for him yet he doesnt recognise how much effort i put in
  • :flowerforyou:  thankyou xxxx see this is why i love my MFP friends
  • ME!!! i used to obsess and read every little thing and think i had to follow it or i wouldnt lose weight. Now i just eat healthy, burn more calories than i eat and workout/weight train. Thats it. I do log but its for my own benefit so i can track my intake. I really dont have time for all the sciences and rules and things…
  • Hey Lee welcome back, feel free to add me if you'd like. ive lost 134lbs and almost at goal but can help with motivation if you need it
  • Yes i would. My 19 year old son has Aspergers and has never had a girlfriend yet but i hope when he does he finds someone caring enough to look past his disability and like the person he is.
