Your boyfriend shouldn't snap at you for talking too much about dieting. He should be supportive of your goals.
This says it all.0 -
No one ever deserves to be snapped at, and it has more to do with the person doing the snapping.
That being said, if y'all hung up from a phone call and you immediately sent him a message telling him not to call and everything that is wrong, I think you both need to work on your communication skills.0 -

I disagree. When you impose on someone what they should or shouldn't do, you just end up disappointed. The point is that he DID snap, and that's the reality that you have to deal with.0 -
My question for you is was he able to apologize and admit that what he did was hurtful? Apologizing goes a long way and is a life skill that many people refuse to learn. If he was having an off day and doesn't normally act that way I'd accept the apology as long as he understands that that can't happen again. That was mean. No one should be talked to that way. However, if he can't see that how he treated you was wrong then you need to ask yourself if it's OK with you to be treated that way. Because he will do it again. You know, the old 'you teach people how to treat you' thing.0

No he hasnt spoken to me since even though i nicely pointed out how supportive i am of him no matter how many times we discuss the same subject. I explained how important my weight loss journey was to me and how hard it has been......he ignored it and hasnt spoken since :ohwell:0 -

I'm sorry. :ohwell: That's hurtful. It's not asking to much to want our spouse or SO to consider our feelings.0 -
Thanks for listening everyone i really appreciate it :flowerforyou: i guess ive learned my lesson and i just wont mention anything about it any more0

Everyone has boring *kitten*. If you listen to his he has to listen to yours, at least some of the time.
I have one good friend with whom I share daily mental maintenance stuff. It IS boring, because many human problems are repetitive. You don't stop trying to find solutions, but after a while you accept that this is part of life.0 -

I tend to agree with you, not that I'm saying it's OK to talk meanly to others. But we all occasionally have bad moods. The way this is playing out may be symptomatic of deeper problems in the relationship.0
