How about just manscape a bit?
-
You don't have to eat a different amount each day-- remember your body needs rest and calories on off days to grow. I find it easier to just eat the same amount every day. It's about the total calories over time. It is, and always has been (whether losing weight, maintaining, or gaining), about calories in vs. calories out.
-
how about just work it into your calories. At my last meal of the day I eat about 1200 calories (at 10:00 every night)-- this prevents me from wanting to eat at all.

I workout with weights 3 times a week. I don't do cardio but i walk the dog, enjoy skiing, biking, swimming.... However, i never count this as exercise activity as it is solely for recreational purposes.
-
Don't think the idea of tricking one's metabolism has any validity but... while i don't do the 5:2 method i do intermittent fast (every day about 18 -20 hour fast followed by a 4-6 hour eating window). I have been doing it for about 2 months and i love it because i get to eat huge meals 2 or 3 times a day. I am never…

It's always about calories in vs. calories out (whether you are trying to lose, maintain, or gain weight). So as long as you hit your targets (I prefer weekly average caloric goals) it doesn't matter when you eat. When losing weight i frequently ended my night (at about 10:00 with a few servings of ice-cream). The idea…

When i was losing weight I kept weekly caloric goals-- and so if my average a day was 2200 (15,400/week) i could have more food one day (say on a date night) and less on another day/s (but not too low) so that in the end my weekly target was met. I didn't call these cheat days because technically i wasn't cheating because…

Cows help make ice-cream-- i love cows! But seriously, i can't imagine anyone calling someone a cow (how uncouth)
-
I guess i could start eating my ice-cream with a bib-- for me that would be clean eating.
-
I'm going to have to remember this one. And add it to one of may fav. quotes from the Simpson's : "You don't make friends with salad"
-
I despise cardio-- i am addicted to not doing it.
-
I intermittent fast and love eating 2 meals a day (because i get to eat huge meals). One meal a day must simply be bliss. Glad you found a way that works for you.

I'm thinking a game of tackle football may end a little bit differently. But your point is well taken. I would rather have a balance of strength and function

Bang on! Why restrict . Paleo is no more a godsend then any other diet. It is (and always will be) about calories in vs calories out. I love ice-cream and oreos (two things Paleo men/women didn't have the luxury of having). Now that i think of it I use a car every day and a fridge to keep my food cold. Just because Paleo…

Building muscle is not easy to do (even when bulking up as a man). Muscle building is painfully slow (as compared to fatloss). As you will be in a calorie deficit while losing weight, it is doubtful you will build much muscle. And yes to tone up you need to build muscle (or at least keep the muscle you have hidden under…
-
Great idea! Just finished my workout-- going to have some ice-cream and oreos!
-
As long as track your calories accurately, you will lose fat. It would probably be best to do some strength training to preserve muscle though. BTW. gotta disagree-- ice cream is the solution to all of life's problems. I eat it practically every day (it fits into my caloric daily budget and macros).
-
Bad science-- except precise calorie counting works. If someone is not getting the results they want (and are not willing to spend 5-10 minutes a day tracking) then they have no right to complain. With MFP the process is even easier.
-
But Elmer Fudd couldn't even catch one rabbit :) You can lose a lot of fat and MAYBE gain a bit of muscle (or maintain current muscle) or you can gain a lot of muscle (relatively speaking) while gaining a reasonable amount of fat. But what you never see is someone gaining a lot of muscle while at the same time losing a lot…
-
To lose fat you must eat less calories than your body wants to stay at your current weight-- that is not starving.
-
YUP!
-
Gonna try this (except as i will be bulking) no need to split into 2 servings. Thanks
-
I still eat the same crap i ate pre MFP but now i track what i eat (and usually do so in moderation). When i feel like pigging out on so-called "non-healthy food" (as opposed to just a bit of crap) i simply make sure it fits my macros for the day.
-
If you chase two rabbits, you will not catch either one
-
If you are not losing weight over time (assuming no variations in water weight) you are eating more that your body needs. As i am sure you know, you can still gain weight eating so-called healthy foods. Track those calories. Fat loss is about (and always will be about) calories in vs calories out. Eat less that your body…

Had bacon, eggs, and some peanut butter on toast last night-- yummy!
-
MFP is an answer to the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth. Calories really do count. But knowing that you can still eat your Krispy Kreme.
-
Counting points . Why not just track calories (via MFP) and eat what you want? Counting calories (which by Weight Watchers you sort of do by counting points) is much more accurate-- and cheaper.

Why not try the Strawberry Diet.? I will sell it to you for 3 easy payments of $19.99. If you follow it you are guaranteed to lose weight (all while eating Nature's yummy fruit--- the strawberry).

I'm finally getting serious (and safe--hence the power rack). This July i am ordering the following (right before I begin my Bulk): --power cage/rack-- delivered (with some fractional weight plates): ~ 400 bucks - olympic weight set (with bar): ~ 329 bucks - weight tree: ~ 100 bucks - flooring: ~ 200 bucks (looking into…
