Oh gawd....I have those same knees. And upper arms. Haven't checked the inner thighs but now I'm scared! I've lost 67 pounds in total.

I THINK I'm ready to laugh at it now....I'll type it out and see. :glasses: At my old place we had a tiny little laundry room that the owner had fit under the stairs for both the upper and lower suites to share. There was a full sized washer and dryer and there was really only enough room to swing the dryer door open if…

I have officially given up trying to find "my size" in clothing. I hold something up, if it looks like it might fit I go try it on. I'm 54 and weigh 133lbs. I'm 5'4". I find interesting to note that when I was in my early 20s - weighing 120lbs or so, I pretty much always wore a size 10. I recently picked up a pair of pants…

I was starting to drool over the food chat but now I'm drooling over something else. Why do I know nothing at all about this beautiful man???? Where have I been???

My very kind doctor started mentioning that I may want to pay closer attention to my food intake. Then he mentioned that my cholesterol was being flagged on test results. Next it was my blood pressure that wasn't looking so good. Finally when I complained about my knee aching he came right out and said I was now in the…

Thanks...makes sense. I just thought it was odd to have it pop up as an 'alarm' after one instance of under eating by such a small amount.

I'm wrong about what? Asking the question?

*Based on your total calories consumed for today, you are eating too few calories. Not only is it difficult to receive adequate nutrition at these calorie levels, but you could also be putting your body into starvation mode. Starvation mode lowers your metabolism and makes weight loss more difficult. I get this…

Does it count if I *wished* I lived in Qualicum?? Love it there. I was married on Qualicum Road in my in-laws gorgeous back yard back in 1988. My beloved mother-in-law is forever known and referred to as "Qualicum Grandma" by my two kids. You must be excited for the move - it's just so wonderful there. No other…

Wanted to add my two cents here as a recovered anorexic. I boomeranged into binge disorder afterwards that lasted for years and years. It was almost more difficult to recover from that. Almost 30 years later I can still find myself suddenly in binge-mode and scarf down 10,000 calories or more in one day. Please just…

Quite the visual! Haha! Congratulations on a wonderful NSV and thank you for sharing!

A stranger recently asked: "Are those your real eyes?" I responded: "What does that mean - are they my REAL eyes....of course they are!" He went on to tell me they were such a 'glorious color of green' that he thought maybe I wore colored contact lenses. Odd, but really kind of nice.

That was my wake up call. At my heaviest, I weighed 12 pounds MORE than the day I gave birth to an 11lb 2oz baby. Ugh. I gained 60lbs with that pregnancy - - I look back now and am doubly glad I invested the time and energy in myself to get back to a healthy weight.

One of my friends is a race car mechanic (and a driver). He has been the only person to ever work on my Prelude. I would never in a million years expect him to do it for nothing. Really? I don't pay him the same as he gets at his job, but we agreed on $25 an hour plus parts/supplies. I would be embarrassed to assume…

I think the same! Vanity sizing is getting a little out of control methinks.

Too late for my response: Angelica0530 has deactivated their account.

I was about to post this exact same thing. I thought I was the only 'smart' one out there. The worst time was when I needed 3 drinks to balance out the food order. :blushing:

I've recently had no choice but to give up eating anything with gluten in it. Unfortunately that was a truly large portion of what I ate. I've now added more protein in the shape of chicken, turkey and seafood (especially wild Pacific salmon - yum!) and Greek yogurt. I've also added fiber to take the place of all the wheat…

I kind of enjoy looking at them. They help to remind me that even if I don't always think so, I'm strong enough to take control of my life and make big changes.

Copy/pasting my response from another WW thread: Weight Watchers worked miracles for me. I didn't consider it expensive as I stopped putting out extra money for crappy food and instead directed that cash towards my monthly WW cost. Once I lost all my excess weight and was able to maintain, Weight Watchers was free to…

I have celiac disease and the only difference to my binge eating is that I now eat too much gluten-free foods. It can be chocolate, yogurt and fruit (like last night) or hummus and vegetables. It doesn't really matter what it is. I'll eat thousands and thousands of calories during a few hour binge session. My binge eating…

This made me laugh out loud......

Last time I measured I was around 5'4 & 3/4"-ish. Weight-wise, I have to pay close attention to what I'm doing as I suffered from anorexia in my 20s. I don't want to weigh 92lbs again - ever. It was a painful journey to recovery. My goal weight in a perfect world would be about 125-130 but I'm happy to settle at 135 as…

I'm confused. I'm Canadian and my air only comes in metric servings. Will that affect my weight loss?
-
Haha! Go for it! I bought my last couple of pairs of shorts from a Walmart in WA state two weeks ago. I was in our local Walmart yesterday and pulled four size 6 items into the fitting room - - not a hope in heck of doing up the zippers.
-
I'm 5'4" and 54 years old so it might be different for you. :) If I remember correctly, I weighed about 150-155lbs when I wore a 12. For reference, I'm now 137lbs and wear an 8. (I'm in Canada - our sizes differ from the USA - I wear a 6 when I buy clothes there)

There's a saying: "What other people think of me is none of my business." It's a little tough to get to this point in one's thought process, but believe me, once you're there, it's mighty freeing!!

Weight Watchers worked miracles for me. I didn't consider it expensive as I stopped putting out extra money for crappy food and instead directed that cash towards my monthly WW cost. Once I lost all my excess weight and was able to maintain, Weight Watchers was free to attend. I don't know too much about the new Point Plus…

I'm a registered inappropriate person. I had to attend a "respectful workplace" refresher training course. I figured I was there as the example of how not to act in the office so I have an obligation to carry on being the way I am! :drinker:

Fun thread! By the time I finally decided to drop out in grade 10, I'd been in 15 different schools in 4 different countries. (military brat) At the age of 26 I went back to finish school and scored almost 100% in every subject. In order to communicate with my mother when I was five years old, I had to have my father act…
