It's all good, and Im not arguing either :) Just agreeing and stating that while there may be biased information taught; science still stands with the truth. As far as the medical degree goes that is per my councilor at school. I want my MS. I never thought to fact check her  Here are a few links that explain what…

Yes, unfortunately anything that is convenient is going to have too much sodium. :( Sorry you have to work so much. :( It will take some time and effort, but if you can prepare you meals in advance it will really help. You can do things like make a big batch of rice, chicken and broccoli (just a common example) or double…

Oh I can tell you! We are heavily influenced and those that are not a true scientist WILL be misguided. The benefit is that one who has medical degree knows and understands how the body functions and the correlation between diet, behavior, and environment and the body. *hopefully* that will take priority over the…

I believe (and I may be wrong here so don't flame me if I am) what you have heard is regarding extreme cardio.is that it increases cortisol which promotes belly fat. Now, at what level this happens I have no clue; but my guess is that you aren't close to that level.

Like all big business. I'm sure there are many RD sitting the pockets of big business, as well as Dr.s, and dentist, and hospitals, etc etc. etc. I can assure you as an RD (When I finally get to call myself that) No amount of financial interests will deviate my knowledge.

Ohh Yeah! I forgot WIlfred! That show kicks *kitten*!

3000mg is well above the UL for Sodium. I'm glad to see that you are looking at this. First step is to get this under control. I wouldn't worry about it regarding your weight right now because you are not going to continue this high sodium pattern  Really look out for sodium in processed foods, including bread.…

Dexter <3, Shameless, The Big C, Weeds, Biggest Loser, House, and Sons of Anarchy. I know that seems like a lot, but that is ALL the TV I watch. Other than those shows I don't turn the TV on. :)

This! exactly ! This is why I love my pedi. This is what she does. She says not to bother with the "national average" we only become concerned if there is a change from Apt. to apt. ( IE from 75th to 25th) I fully believe that we create many ED in childhood. :/

Then why look at the thread? Why?

Hey me too! :drinker:

 There is a huge difference between a nutritionist and and Registered Dietitian. So FWIW always seek out the R.d. It's a medical degree. I would NEVER recommend ANYONE eat Mcdonalds. :grumble:

MFP is not a Dr.s office. You need to see your Dr. It could be kidney stones, UTI, Appendix, Heart Attack, any number of things. Don't risk your health by asking strangers! get your booty in to the Dr.! Let us know how it turns out! Also I don't know what state you live in but there are many programs for free or…

Both, do both! Weight train to build and strengthen muscle. Cardio to burn fat. You don't need to do endless hours of cardio. Even just 30min of interval (low intensity with high intensity bursts) will give you results. You need muscle other wise as Pauline Nordine says you'll just be a smaller version of your current…

I always eat after my night time workout. Just make sure you account and prepare for it as well as make healthy choices. :)
-
Good Idea! I hadn't thought of that! I wonder where I can find some? Trader Joes? Whole Foods?
-
 Funny how both are know for our beer! :drinker: I'll check the bakery. I think that's my best bet. Thanks! :drinker:

I don't think it can be homemade. Maybe a bakery sells that?

As long as you move very slowly into it, then you CAn run everyday. I was in Jun-Aug ( I've run out of time) Thing to remember is that your BONES need time to heal in between as your bones become more dense you can run more often. I wanted to add that I wouldn't go start out running 5-6 miles EVERYDAY. Mix it up with a lot…
-
If you run that much then should only take 12 weeks at most. Your lactic acid thresh hold is already high.

Try Road Runner Sports or google Shoe Dog to find some locations. ;) They will help you find what you need.

The VEGGY BELLY! You stuff yourself so full of veggies that you can't possibly eat. I always look PG afterward, but by AM my tummy is flat again. Always works for me. :)

Sugar is like a drug. It does bad bad things to your body (I have an obsession with learning about sugar). I know it's hard but the best thing to do is cut it out completely. The cravings will only last a short time and once you get through that the cravings disappear. You can finish your meals off with some fruit like…

awesome! I always wondered if that was possible.
