Yes, walking is a great workout, if you amp your steps and speed. I started out walking 30 minutes a day at a slow pace, then gradually increased the length of time and the pace. On occasion, I will walk up hills (I live in San Francisco) just to boost my metabolism and muscle workout. I also have invested in a pedometer.…

I make 2 staple things that can be reheated. 1) Mini Cheese/Veggie Fritata (but you may add, ground turkey, sausage or ham or bacon bits) 2) Mexican Meatloaf (use ground turkey and ground chicken, corn, black beans, salsa, bread crumbs and onions) I make these on a Sunday and they last all week.

Anyone can add me! I'm a great source of support and encouragement. I have about 60 lbs to lose myself and have progressively made strides to losing a few so far since I restarted my activity on MFP. Let's do this!!

Would love to join! What do I do next?

I am here to help myself and others. You might just get sick of all of my comments. ;-) But joking aside, I do provide support, encouragement and motivation as best as I can to all my friends on MFP. So, please feel free to add me!

If I reach my goal by May (which I hope won't be the end goal), I plan on buying a new wardrobe. And if I end up with loose skin, my mom has toyed around with the idea of giving me a tummy tuck as a reward. Well, I hope I wouldn't have to resort to a tummy tuck if I do things right!!! Here's to the next 9 months of working…

Looking great!! How long did it take you? I want/need some inspiration!

Can you workout during the day, when your neighbors are possibly out for the day? Do you have carpet or hard wood floors? Perhaps you can put a thicker mat on your floor to muffle the noise. But I would probably stay away from jogging in place, jumping rope or jumping jacks. If you're doing some kind of workout DVD, I…

I eat throughout the day! But with school and my internship and volunteer work, it becomes a little difficult. I try to plan and prepare my meals the night before, but sometimes I get home so late from school and I'm too tired to prepare my meals/snacks. I usually eat breakfast everyday and I either drink a protein shake…

I use olive oil cooking spray for everything and i log that. not so much on the dry spices.

You are absolutely right!!! Getting a "Green" on the machines is what makes the difference. I aim for all greens, but I'm still getting a few oranges. I would say I'm like 85% in the green. I didn't realize how lax I was with my workouts until I started the Curves Smart. I really thought I was pushing myself for the first…

Sorry to just answer this now. But I chose Curves Complete for a monthly fee of $56. I get a personal coach, gym access and online access to a weekly meal plan. I love it!

Sorry to hear that you're having physical problems. I know how challenging that can be. But for me, we have 2 Curves locations here in San Francisco. I'm not sure if you know what that is. But I highly recommend it. It's an all women's gym that focuses on strength training and cardio, along with following a weekly meal…

No advice here, just some feedback on what keeps me motivated: 1- Feeling rejuvenated after my Curves workout (working hard to keep my performance % high). 2- Getting compliments from my boyfriend with his comments about how certain parts of my body is looking smaller and that he's starting to feel some muscles. 3- Having…

Where do you live? These prices are so low! :-/

I make mini fritatas for breakfast, but I suppose you can eat them from lunch and dinner. I also buy bulk from Costco and cut/season individual portions and place them in the freezer and take them out as needed. I also cook brown rice in a ricepot and scoop up 1 cup portions for lunch or dinner with some baked zucchini and…

I'm thirsty a lot too. But I think it's just because I'm exerting a lot of effort on my workouts that my body is just plain dehydrated. Then again, I do take bipolar meds. So that factors in on it, too!
