Thanks Allan. I am planning on going to try them on. Just looking for general suggestions on shoes that people have had some good success with...

I had the same problem. I just turned off the beeping and continued to work my a$s off. :)

No kidding, right? I went over way too much this weekend, so not going over today. WOMP.

Did you eat a lot of salt yesterday? Are you extra sore today? Your body sometimes retains extra water weight and it can cause fluctuation on the scale. Don't fret it. Log it and stick with your plan. I agree with @jessupbrady, weightloss is definitely not linear.

Yea this too... If you can fit in a little exercise, then I would make it strength training for sure. This will help you get away from the "skinny fat" look that people talk about when they eventually lose the weight.

I agree with this. Calorie deficit is what matters. I workout so that I can eat more (and cause I love the feeling I get when Im done... plus I love food so... win, win for me) . Thats just my style. I find it harder to stay within my calorie goals when I don't workout because 1. I have more free time to mindlessly snack…

Yes to the above! Also try skinnytaste.com All of her stuff is really good. My boyfriend and I tend to make one or 2 recipes at the beginning of the week and eat them here and there throughout the week. It helps. Plus she has delicious things on there. On monday I made her Broccoli Mac and Cheese and it is amazing.

I've heard good things about these. I'm doing ChaLEAN Extreme and I like it a lot. Focuses a lot on beginner weight training.

Hang in there buddy. I was single until I was 25. It just takes some people more time than others. Learn to love yourself first, the rest will fall into place. :)

I don't hate that it counts them as steps. It is just causing the calories to be double counted. Once in the "activity" and once in the 2000 steps I get when doing that activity.
-
I'm not "sure" that it is double counting. It just seems that the daily calories burned (neglecting activities) is more on days that I am doing cardio. I know that activity section is working properly, because I am using the HRM and you tell it when to start and stop, but I do think it is adding "steps" when I am just…

Internet... :)

Might have to change the battery. Same thing happened to me. Once I replaced that battery, it started working fine. :)

I am having a hard time with this double counting issue. I have the heart rate monitor and I love it (even though the battery died about a month in...) I do a lot of working out at home via workout videos. When lifting, it seems to be fine. But when I am doing cardio, my band counts steps and an activity (HR function is…

I have a similar story. I stopped weighing myself when I started seeing 200 on the scale in college. I got super serious about losing weight and was able to get down to about 154. Then I met my boyfriend and he had terrible eating habits and it was easier to just go along with them instead of fighting it. Needless to say,…

Yep! Thats how I understand it. :)

Wow! It never occurred to me to workout without undies. I must try!

Its so refreshing to see someone come to the forums for advice and actually ACCEPT what others are saying! Props to you! just a little tip I have found: any veggie that is packaged as pre-sliced (baby carrots are a big example, the packages of asparagus that are "trimmed") is WAY overpriced. If you're not sure what part of…

I got mine at Target. Any convenience store should have them :)

Personally, I am planning on doing a lot of cardio and strength training at home. I currently have ChaLEAN Extreme, Insanity, and T25 in my plans. Is there any way we can track minutes of exercise along with miles? You'd have to pay me to be outside longer than necessary for the next couple of months (thanks a lot winter!)…

Don't listen to this... its completely untrue. I have been lifting for 3 months now. I do 10-12 reps with different size weights for each exercise. But for example, I use 15 lbs for bicep exercises. I am not "bulky." if you want to be stronger, up the weight.

Also... these shoes are super cute! :flowerforyou:

Tennis skirts or dresses? You can run in those...
