I am with Charissa on this one. Scales are evil and have flung mine out and the squirrels are playing with them. Measures only and general feel on clothes fitting!

Yip, get the "swally" logged............it all counts!

I am exactly the same as you. My scales ended up in the trees with the squirrels some time ago and now rely on measuring only as well as clothes fit. Great work.

LOL - just look at that face....! Always happy for any new friends, but check the profile first for a double-check!!! lol
-
Yip....I agree - and get a whole load of friends for accountability as there will be ups-and-downs along the way!

I had a similar problem some time ago and was advised by Friends to check the BMR and TDEE settings. I did this on the http://www.fat2fitradio.com/ site using the tools there. Turns out by working out the calories allowance on there I wasn't eating enough. Took some time to get my head around this, but it did actually work…

Always happy to make new friends. I am in the UK btw. Feel free to add.

Great post. Pretty sure if you keep those "big panties" up there you will be a resounding success. Good luck.

Oooo, this is an interesting thread. Any random'ers can add if they feel like it.... I am in the UK though if that makes a difference - lol

New friends are always welcome over here...... Feel free to add and that is open to everyone. This is my maintenance profile, previously got to 560 days on the old one so this is a fresh start for me.

Think I commented on Part 1, but not sure...lol Oh well, in for Part 2 of this cunning plan. Happy to make new friends so add away...... Cheeaaars

Congratulations in hitting Maintenance and good luck. I personally have been Maintaining since April and going OK. Different mind-set though and like minded support I would also welcome. Jim

I am similar to this mate. Anyone can feel free to count me in!!
-
Well done and showing great commitment. Sounds similar to me. I did same thing in October when I quit smoking and still hit-the-gym 3 times per week. Jim

I hit my goals but doesn't mean to say I can't still support.... Maintenance isn't that easy either!!!! Feel free to add me.

Yip, another Scot

Personally I don't use the scales anymore as the frustration levels were getting too much. I measure every couple of weeks and generally just how clothes fit "feels". Good luck whatever you decide is best for you. Jim

So true.... There will be ups and downs but that is when your friends support is most important. Good luck.

Exactly the same here......I am in West Lothian, Scotland.

Yip, months ago. Scales are evil anyway so just went for measures instead as well as clothes fitting.
-
Tried running, didn't like it either. I waste a perfectly good 4 hour walk trying to smash a little white ball into a hole 18 times - on a regular basis!!!

Another Scot here. Maintaining through April/May and "piloting" not logging diary. Still active though so feel free to add.....!

It is working really well for me but I don't use scales I only use measurements. It got me to my goal to be fair.... I tried running on treadmill a couple of times using C25K but played havoc with knees. Trainer identified a walking interval programme for me which starts tomorrow using various speeds and gradients. Have…
