  • This is so fantastic; well done you! MFP has been my saviour too. I sign in every day just to see how you all are and to keep my head in the right place. I have days I don't log, but that's my choice, and I don't make bad food choices. Every single person on MFP has their own battles to fight, but we are all aiming for the…
  • You have overcome so much suffering in your life to do this, you are an inspiration! Many congratulations.
  • You look fantastic! Very, very well done and what an inspiration to myself and others. Congratulations.
  • Well done on resisting the temptation. I have a cupboard in my kitchen that contains chocolate and biscuits for my two teenage daughters; resisting that smell is so hard at times. I have my own cupboard with dark chocolate and low cal snacks that appeal to me; a little does no harm. Keep up the great work!!
  • You look absolutely fantastic! So brave of you to put these photo's up, but the weight loss is so apparent. You must feel so proud! This is an inspiring post. Congratulations and thank you!
  • I wouldn't have a clue! What I can say, is you look fantastic and you shouldn't bother with scales; you have a beautiful and enviable figure.
  • Porridge with Agave syrup.
  • I too am an emotional eater; it's been my downfall for many years. I had a really tricky week last week and had to really dig deep to stop myself eating rubbish. I walked (a lot), talked to my friends and husband, came on here and looked at what everyone else was doing (this helps hugely) and I held on to the reasons I am…
  • ...........be super skinny, but that's ok as long as I'm happy in my own skin.
  • Well done for grabbing the bull by the horns! We all need to start somewhere and walking is brilliant; I try to do it every day. Good luck on your journey.
  • We all need help and support; even those who won't admit it! The best thing I have done in years, is sign up to MFP. It keeps me focused and let's me see the struggles and triumphs other ordinary people are having (just like me). Slow and steady wins the race. Please feel free to add me and we will travel this road…
  • I'd love to join your 'happy network'! This is the most successful I have been at tackling weight loss, and it's so simple and straightforward! I am 48 years old, married, with two daughter's aged 12 and 16. I work in a primary school supporting children with Autism and special needs. Please feel free to send me a friend…

  • I'm a newbie too! I post every day and am on twice a day (at least).. Feel free to add me. Good luck.
  • Hi there, well done for taking the first step. I too am at my heaviest and know I need to sort myself out. I only joined about a week ago but I already feel more positive than I have ever felt before! It helps so much to know you are not alone and everyone on here is so supportive and aiming for the same thing. Please feel…
  • I'm new too; the more the merrier! I've done the faddy diets on and off for years, had no motivation to exercise and cannot stand looking in a mirror! Just recently, I decided enough was enough and I had to face up to being obese and unfit; for my own sake and for my family. After reading an inspirational article, I…
  • You need to stop beating yourself up! I have been a yo-yo dieter most of my adult life; I've done them all: weight watchers, slimming world, fad diets, you name it, I've tried it. It's only now, at 48 years old, I've decided to do it slow and steady. I signed up 5 days ago to lose a pound a week over 35 weeks. For me, this…
  • Please feel free to add me. I can always do with extra support. I too suffer from low self esteem and it's good to know I'm not alone. Joy x
  • Well done for taking the first step. Friend request sent.
  • Hi Tiffany, my name is Joy, I am 48 years old and a Mum of two gorgeous girl's. I have a very supportive husband but that's not always enough.. I have been a yo-yo dieter most of my life and have decided just to be sensible about my weight loss expectations; I'm going for a pound a week over 35 weeks and started 5 days ago…
  • Please feel free to add me. I am aiming for a pound a week over 35 weeks; slow and steady. We're all in it together!
  • We're all in the same boat, so please don't worry! I've been a yo-yo dieter all my life (I'm 48) and have decided to take the sensible route and aim for a pound a week; it's not so scary this way. Just make sure you log everything, be honest with yourself; it's the only way. No one on here is going to be horrid (if they…
  • My aim is to lose a pound a week but I just started 4 days ago. My sister is trying the same and she has lost 6 pounds in 6 weeks by sticking to her calories and doing gentle exercise. Good luck!
  • Hi Patty, I am 48 years old and living in the UK. I have fought a battle with my weight for many years and have, finally, decided to take the sensible approach and try to lose a pound a week. I'd love to share your journey with you. xx:happy:
  • That used to happen to me constantly and then I was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome a year ago. I just had to keep a food diary (like we do on here) and try and pinpoint what set me off. I have real issues with vegetable soup, especially when it's pureed; I changed to lactose free milk for 6 months and that helped…
  • Greetings fro the UK. What a fabulous start you have made, many congratulations! I am looking to lose 36 pounds. After years of yo-yo dieting and trying all sorts of weird and wonderful weight loss remedies, I have decided to take it right back to basics and aim to lose a pound a week so I don't put additional pressure on…
  • Hi there, please feel free to add me. I am 48 years old and looking to lose 36 pounds to improve my health and wellbeing and to enable me to look in a mirror without thinking; YEUK! I joined 3 days ago. Good luck!
  • We all have days like this, just don't dwell on it. Put it down to experience and move on; tomorrow will be a good day. xx
  • Hi, my name is Joy, I am 48 years old and definitely weird and (a bit) unhinged (in a good way). My downfalls are: chocolate, crisps and cake; not necessarily in that order! I just joined yesterday and want to lose 35 pounds to save my health really. As for zombies; I too would run away, very fast! Oh, and Sarcasm is my…
