  • I use a shake as my breakfast meal replacement and it's working well for me. I can recommend the optimum nutrition protein powder as it's low in sugar and carbs...they do lots of different flavours too (I use double chocolate). I add 1 scoop to almond milk and add 1/2 banana, 1 tablespoon flaxseed, 1 teaspoon almond butter…
  • Insanity is brilliant. I just finished my 2nd week, sweat bucket loads and find it challenging but I always push through and feel amazing afterwards. I've lost 4lbs so far and gone from 30.3% body fat to 28%. Already I can feel my stamina increasing. Glad to see others are doing it too. :)
  • Haha! True what you have said. I need to work on controlling it, rather than just avoiding it I guess I could say. That's what's making me like a crack addict sneaking out the house at night to go get my fix of chocolate. I'm going to try this moderation, I'm feeling motivated just by logging on here. :) Great site.
  • Once a week seems to be working well for many people. I will not be sharing either haha. Thanks for advice.
  • This is how I feel. I really want to be one of those who can be sensible and just have 1 truffle instead of 20 but if I have a whole box of truffles in the house I will eat the whole thing. Makes me feel greedy and disgusted with myself tbh. Thanks for your comments everyone. I guess different people have different…
  • That doesn't sound like a bad idea actually. Thanks for that. :)
  • Looking yummy! Every day for breakfast I have a shake made of 1 scoop protein powder, cup of almond milk, 1/2 banana, 1 tablespoon flaxseed, 1 teaspoon almond butter and a handful of porridge oats.
  • I was obese as a teenager and had all the taunts daily...I was talking about going ice skating with a friend and someone said something about me being a fat hippo who would break the ice. Teens can be cruel haha.
  • I am doing it for myself and my child - I want him to be healthy and I can't preach healthy choices and foods if I'm sitting there overweight and stuffing my face with chocolate for him to see! I also have a family history of diabetes/high cholesterol/all types of cancers so I want to be fit and strong for health reasons…
  • Unfortunately most of us have to deal with people like this. I never understood how people can make fun of someone for wanting to lose weight and be fit...there's no reason to laugh at someone making the effort to do so at the gym. This is your life, your workout, your journey. You just need to focus on that and ignore…
