It can be discouraging. Focus on the weight loss and not how your clothing fits. I went from 250 down to 203 and aside from tightening my belt a little there was no change in my clothing. Keep it up. The scale doesn't lie.

I have been, but I also have been really conservative. Adding extra calories to each meal and leaving a calorie buffer at the end of each day. Honestly, I was going to start easing up a bit before realizing that I suck and my "extra" calories were apparently needed to make my goal. Orange juice instead of oil? Never would…

I'm altering a recipe I found online. I mix all the spices into the oil so they don't burn. I certainly could try less but the recipe called for 3 so thats what I used. Really depressed over this now and will probably just stop making this all together. Can anyone recommend a low calorie way of making baked steak fries?

No packaging at all. Got it from the seafood department in the supermarket.

cooked is like 50 calories more then uncooked. I want those calories back :(

Can someone explain how they prepare dry beans? How long do you have to soak them for? do you soak them in hot water on the stove or cold water? I tried a try a recipe a couple times that was dry black beans, an orange and garlic all boiling in water for 3 hours. The beans never got soft.

but how would I input the ribs into fitness pal? I'm skimming the fat but its impossible to get it all, and i'm not actually eating it with the soup.

I was draining it before weighing. I guess that could be part of the reason. Still 73 grams of liquid?

I don't weigh the peppers. I chop up 3 and add them to the pasta. In the add food section I found "bell pepper raw-red" which says a medium bell pepper is 37 calories. I have the food scale I just wasn't using it for the peppers. Next time I make it i'l weigh them. I use green, yellow, orange, and red as I buy them in bags…

There is not any set thing that can be done, and something that helps one person could hinder another. For example, I am pretty anti social. Yet I don't care if people see me when I work out, unless its allot of people and my Ochlophobia (fear of crowds) kicks in. Plenty of normal things that normal people like bother me.…

I'm not exactly sure what to tell you. Eating less calories in a day then your body burns in a day should cause you to lose weight. If its not then it seems to me that there are only a few options. 1. You are in fact consuming more calories then you think. 2. You have some sort of medical condition skewing the results (you…

Congratulations!!! I know exactly how you feel. I know how hard it is to lose weight, and how depressing it is when you don't. I also know how wonderful you feel when you reach a landmark. Today for the first time the center for disease control's obesity calculator says i'm overweight and not obese! Keep it up and stay…

ment to quote hookilau I was thinking of having 2 for breakfast maybe 5 days a week. When I said that to my friend they said that I shouldn't have more then 2 eggs in a week. Then when i researched it a little there seemed to be no agreement

Doesn't matter. The point of the cheat meal or day is to give yourself the leeway to maintain your diet the rest of the week. All that matters is whether or not you are reaching your weight loss goal for the week. If you can meet your goal while including a night of drinking and buffalo wings then who cares? If you can't…

If joints are an issue I would not recommend running as is hard on the joints. Walking is a good choice though. I don't know where you live but if there is a walking track near you then go there. If you can't make it a full mile without needing a rest then find bench to sit on, catch your breath and when your ready start…

I got the bike from a dedicated bike shop. Its a Canadale quick 6 and it was measured for me by an employee there. How often would you recommend I go biking? like everyday or should I have "rest" days where I walk or something instead?

I have a fitbit one. Really like it It has a really good battery life, hardly needs to be charged and charges really fast. I haven't had any problems with it syncing. the clip it comes with is really strong so little risk of it falling off of whatever you clip it to. The one downside is its really small. Thats usually nice…

I so agree. I feel like spending one day eating the way I did that got me so fat in the first place would drastically slow my progress (and could reverse it). I love milkshakes, pizza and fries. I could EASILY have an entire days worth of calories in one meal. Let alone the 3 meals in a day. pancakes with chocolate syrup…

I'm a little surprised that the day off idea seems to be so popular. Personally, I find that if I stop eating right I will, like an alcoholic, fall off the wagon and everything will fall apart.

I have seen a a study that found that people who drink diet soda are not any healthier then people who drink regular soda. There could be a variety of factors that cause this. 1. Really healthy people don't drink soda 2. Diet soda may make you hungry and then you eat a bunch of pretzels or something. 3. The 0 calorie…
