  • Thank you Stormy, hopefully it works now!

  • We invested in the fitbit scales. Quite expensive at £80, however you can set them up so that they are synched with this and automatically log your weight on mfp. On your online fitbit account (free) you can have the settings so that only yourself can see your logged weight, if more than one person in the household is…

  • How do you add your ticker here please? I've ticked for it to be included in posts, but it didn't show.
  • A little late to the opening party, but count me in. 6lb lost so far - 24 to go! (For the challenge, I want to lose much more, but this is a great challenge. Health issues prevent excercise - so might be tough!)
  • I was sent to a hospital dietician a few years back. She told me to stop eating potatoes and to have a max calorie intake of 500. She also said. Calories matter - you didn't see a fat person in Belsen concentration camp. I suggested she either retrained or found another job. Yes she was skinny. Very skinny. But not toned.…
  • I have seen many say on here to eat when you are hungry (so not all the time), eat when you find it suits your lifestyle best too. The main thing is to try to keep as closely as possible to the calories you are allowed each day, remember that when you list down any exercise that you do, you will be given more calorie to…
  • One thing I find puzzling is when I edit an entry. I am trying to get things right, searching through the listings to find one that is correct. I often find something almost there, but then note that there is no sugar listed, or the protein is much higher than it actually is on the item. So I edit. It changes page but then…
  • Cancer. My mum and I were diagnosed within two weeks of each other. I have learnt a lot since diagnosis, I am on an anti cancer diet which is very similar to the paleo one (Dr David Severan anti cancer diet) and have learned that diet not only helps you if you have it, but in order to prevent it too. Especially taking…
  • Hi, I watched a program on tv the other day about a woman that was heavily overweight and about to have gastric bypass surgery. Whilst her husband *supported* her, he was also very afraid that if / when she lost weight she would leave him, which I notice you mention in an earlier response. I am fortunate to have my partner…
  • 4 months ? WoW what a bit of hard work does eh ? I come on the *success* thread each morning and each night to read a few more happy stories to help keep me inspired. I LOVE the look of pure joy in your face in your after photo. I shall sleep well in the knowledge that I will have the same wide happy smile when I drop as…
  • I think she was quoting someone else there ? and also on the previous quote you gave.
  • Thank you all for your replies, great information in there ! I am so definitely going to have to go in for a better bra, I stupidly used a sports one (she says with a laugh) I think it must be the first time I have ever worn one. Perhaps when I am smaller :o) My partner is looking up fitnessblender as I type this, too many…
  • If we need to add sugar to anything then we use agave syrup which has a low gi index. An alternative is stevia which we have but have never used yet.
  • All totally amazing and inspirational. Bumping so I don't have to go so far to find these again to keep me on track :D
