I have a Meijer about 20 minutes from me. I've been there before but always stick with Kroger since it's in town. Maybe I'll take the drive to Meijer this week.

Thanks for the replies! We do have an Aldi and Dollar Tree. I normally shop at Kroger but think I'll check those two places out!

I'm an emotional eater. I would eat when I was bored, mad, upset etc. I didn't care what I ate or how much I ate. I felt like I ate constantly. Yesterday, I tried to stick to smaller portions and 2 snacks.

Thanks!

From what others have told me, eating your exercise calories or some of them back is important. If you are eating 1200, but you burn let's say, 400. 1200-400=800 calories. So technically you're body is only getting 800 calories and is going into starvation mode. When your body goes into starvation mode, it begins to hold…

Thanks everyone for the replies!:) I am DEFINITELY excited to start it now!

No, I do NOT want the extra calories, and 1850 isn't a lot compared to what I WAS eating. I'm a stay-at-home mom of 2 kids, a 2 year old and a 6 month old. I clean everyday, and I'm ALWAYS doing something as well, BUT today was a different kind of cleaning. It was spring cleaning, and it kicked my butt, so YES, I am…

I just recently joined MFP so I'm not exactly sure how the whole thing works yet. I'm definitely not going to eat an extra 1000 calories, lol.
-
I've been cleaning since 8am and it's now 2:30pm. I've stopped for about an hour to eat lunch, put the kids down for a nap, and get online. I'm ONLY going by what MFP says.
-
Oh, and just so everyone is aware, I never said I was going to eat an additional 1000 calories! I have a hard enough time eating my 1850 that I'm suppose to have daily. In my original post, I said I COULDN'T eat that much. I just wanted to know how the whole eating your exercise calories worked.

I've been cleaning since 8am and it's now 2:30pm. I've stopped for maybe an hour to eat lunch and get online. So yes, I am going to count some of it.
-
Sorry if this sounds dumb, but what's a HRM? I'm just going by what MFP says.
-
I normally don't count my cleaning. The only reason why I did today is because I've been cleaning since 8am, and it actually caused me to break a sweat. I didn't realize that cleaning burnt so many calories.
-
I've been cleaning since 8am. I don't normally count cleaning either, because I too do it everyday, but today, I've been cleaning so hard that I broke a sweat, so I figured I should add it! lol
-
feel free to add me too!:) I'm currently 266.4lbs, and want to get down to 135lbs, which is the high "healthy" weight for my height!
-
Well, for breakfast, I usually have high fiber oatmeal, fiber plus cereal, whole wheat bagel with ff cream cheese, or egg, sausage and cheese on 1/2 of an english muffin. Lunch usually consists of a salad with reduced fat cheese, ranch salad spritzer, with turkey, ham or chicken on top. Other things I've had for lunch are…

Oh, I forgot to mention, I like lettuce in salads. But I seem to always have to drench my salads in a tonnnn of dressing.

Can I join this group? I'm Ashley. I'm recently new to MFP. My husband and I have been together for 6 years and married for a little over 1. We have a 2 year old son and an almost 6 month old daughter. I've been overweight all my life, and have tried dieting many, many times. I've finally come to the realization that I…
