  • 237.2 Down 4lbs total....but I feel like my body has changed. I think I have shrunk more than 4 lbs worth of weight...I have also loved seeing myself get stronger and improve in my work outs.
  • 240.2 Only lost 1 lb....but i was lower earlier in the week...but with my period starting yesterday....I'll take it!
  • OK, with tears in my eyes and a burning face....I'm just going to do it! It's not like people can't see how fat I am!! My starting weight is 241....with the ultimate goal to get to 175. I hope I lose at least 15 lbs by the end of this contest...if not more. I said it to some of the most beautiful people I know.
  • Awesome thanks! Just did yoga with Bob, and I learned that not only am I weak, I am totally not flexible!
  • Let's do this. I"m going to add everyone in the group as friends. I really am motivated by seeing what everyone does. It's really nice since I can be on this site constantly with my iphone. Let's do this!
  • Strength training might be a good thing to add. I find I lose a lot better when I lift weights.
  • go at a slower pace for the last part. it also helped me to get off the treadmill because i could more easily change my pace. go for time not speed. i started couch to 5k in april and got so comfortable running at a nice steady pace i kept adding more time each week and just finished a half marathon. but my key was slow…
  • invest in some good running shoes...also work on your running posture and stride.
  • i am the same way. as far as ice cream..my weakness...plan for it in your calories and buy a cone or something at a restaurant or gas station. that way you can enjoy it...but once it is gone it is gone.
  • That is a hard one. She could also be "feeling" hungry and eating because she is stressed and going through a hard time. I know my comfort eating started at a very young age. A new sitter might be an option, or making home made fruit pops (fruit of choice, stevia, vanilla, and enough water to blend it up) for the sitters…
  • I have heard that using tanning lotion helps hide them. I haven't tried it yet...but I plan on it here in the next few days.
  • I warm up, stretch, then go for however long and then cool down and stretch. I never did this before and I was always sore and it was harder to run the next time. Now I am doing 70 and 80 min jogs and I have very little soreness. I am now a firm believer in warm up, and cool downs and stretching! p.s. I don't stretch for…
  • I haven't tried this yet, but my friend says tanning lotion works really well to even them out.
  • Are you working out on the treadmill? I got stuck at the 20 min jog part. I gave up, but a couple of weeks ago I decided to start jogging again. I went to a track and started jogging. I went slow and if I got tired or winded went even slower...but I didn't stop. Next thing I knew, I had done 40 mins. I have done this for…
  • I've told myself I am not rewarding myself with food or feeling guilty about food. If I want easy mac or a chocolate shake, I make sure that I have the calories for it. Healthy people can eat a treat and they don't gain 5 pounds or eat 12 of them. I want to be healthy so I have to think like a healthy person. No more…
  • Stretching makes a world of difference...also the couch25k is great if you want to jog. Go slow and steady...it is not a race jog where your body feels most comfortable....but push yourself a little...I am now up to 50 mins of jogging. Also only jog every other day.
  • A friend was doing Jillian and felt hypoglycemic after the work out. She didn't drop pounds or inches, and went back to her normal routine and started loosing. She just didn't feel good doing it.
  • In the next couple of weeks Subway will be cutting like 30 % of the sodium in their food.....so, you might be able to choose more of what you'd like.
