Thanks everyone that does make things more manageable. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the information out there but yes I can use MFP and make smaller changes.

Don't drink, rarely eat out and probably have around 3 take aways a year if that. Just need organise myself into a better exercise routine.

I do walk because I've got a dog. The gym doesn't appeal to me anymore really.

Hope so my fitness levels are a joke now

I suppose I've got to the full feeling. I'm weighing everything I eat and some of the portions are about a third less than I used to eat. Got into bad habits of eating huge portions of potatoes, rice and pasta which hasn't helped. Also the whole ageing thing I probably don't exercise as much as I used to and realistically…

I suppose it's going be a bit of trial and error to see what's going work for me in the long run. I'm break the habits I've got into and my body has got used to. Thanks for suggestions

I don't eat under 1200 calories. I tend not to eat exercise calories because even though I've got fitness band I don't always trust the amount of calories they say you have burned. I'm scared to eat quite a lot of things like nuts etc because it's ingrained in me that they are bad because of being high in fat even though…

The slimming world mind set if filling up on free foods which I've gotten into a habit of doing. I know it's worked for lots of members but I'm really struggling with weight loss because I find it hard to stick with 100% so thought calorie counting would help. I'm getting headaches with the hunger which is frustrating…

Haha not one for chewing gum and strangely when I have it actually seems to make me feel hungry? It's like a hungry empty feeling if that makes sense. Do drink lots.
-
Do feel hungry can't always for smaller meals I to my day. Having 1550 calorie allowance which is I think generous for me as I'm only 5ft I always try eat under and don't eat any exercise calories I am older though.

I have got Microsoft fitness band which I keep forgetting I can load workouts on. I was doing loads of walking last year but not as much recently. I had shingles a few weeks ago.

Lost a lot of muscle mass as I've gotten older and stopped doing any training. Not sure about how many calories i should be having but I suppose it's trial and error.

Used to workout with hubby but not for ages. He's always been fitter than me and cycles a lot. We were on about getting back into fitness together

At present I am managing get out 2/3 nights a week to do classes. Then adding a couple of DVDs. But cost of classes soon adds up and hubby about to be out of work before Christmas. I have got a spin bike but never tried any classes from YouTube. I do get a bit distracted if they go on for too long and start thinking about other things that need doing.
-
Good grief you have certainly got the home fitness down lol. I also have a couple of The Firm DVDs.. I obviously need to get doing them. Being brave tonight and going clubbercise on my own!!! Normally go with a friend because I hate the drive.... dark, winding country lanes!! But usually burn over 530 calories in class and…

I'm quite spoiled really..... live in the country lots of hills, leisure centre with gym, classes, pool and courts across from my house, other classes nearby, home gym, DVDs..... that's the problem I think too much choice!!! Need to knuckle down and get on with it.
-
I'm awful at keeping to a routine. Can't really afford go back into a gym contract but love classes and just paying for them when I go. Just need motivate myself at home more so I can be consistent and get results.

I do 10000 steps daily. I want to lose weight and shape up. Got home gym and DVDs but if I'm honest with myself I tend to workout harder in classes. Did clubbercise last night and loved it. Did 20 minute The Firm DVD tonight. I will struggle to do anything at weekends. I just need get going and keep going. Fitness band…
