When this happens to me, I just put the plate back on the scale, zero it, and remove the extra food and remove it from the logged amount.

Sounds like something a Fat Person (who is not inclined to put down the fork) would say.

There are a lot of amazing before and after face pics on here......what a difference.

[/quote This woman knows what she is talking about. Yeah your friends are retarded because that answer is "YES....exercise does HELP you lose weight". How can it not if you burn 3000 calories from exercise in a week. Plus if you do not exercise your body will not really look that great (Especially for men) once the weight…

I felt that way too 84lbs ago when I first walked into the gym and though that all those very fit people are probably looking down on me.....but I didn't let it deter me. Now that I am kind of one of those fitter people, I don't look down on any overweight people in the gym....I just say good for them, hardest part is…

I'm sorry and don't mean to be rude.........but why does someone seem to ask this same question every single day? It is nice of people to answer though, but a simple search of the forums will also answer the question.

Nice thing with the phone app is that it saves your previous selections which makes for much faster logging when you eat the same food later.

Kind of a rude response. She only stated what works for her and I agree with her with a healthy balance of carbs/protein/fat.....chill out with the Cap Locks Lady!

(1) Browse the "Success Stories" section of this site. (2) Eat healthy nutritious foods. Yeah French fries taste better, but a pound of veggies are way more filling (Yes I usually eat 1lb of steamed veggies with my dinner every night (100 to 200 caloires per lb) and add skinless chicken or fish to it. (3) Weigh and measure…

If you are in Canada, digital ones go on sale at Canadian Tire all the time for $10. It is the only way to go, even if friends or family think you are being excessive by weighing........just look at all the people in here that have had success losing a large amount of weight 99% will agree that a food scale is a must.

For anyone that is caught up on grams to oz you may want to learn some basic math. To keep it simple I say 1oz is 30 grams (i.e 2oz is 60g 8oz is 240g, 10oz is 300g).

The problem is that sometimes it becomes a task to find a database entry that is accurate, and then it becomes a guessing game. For instance I know that a medium slice of peperoni pizza is around 210 calories, but there are entries in there saying it is 60 calories....some people may not know which is accurate. There…

I eat mine back, have from day 1 of my new lifestyle. During the bulk of my weight loss I was diligent to stay within my goals, now I meet my goals somedays and then other days I go over up to maintenance calories. But to be fair I am more concerned with muscle gain at this point. I will probably do another 2lb a week cut…

You look great, good job! I know you must feel great!

The goal is to stay under that value of Saturated Fats, not to meet or exceed.

Congrats.....its an important milestone .

Fruit is awesome, especially now in Canada that the local grown stuff is becoming available. Medium peach 84, calories, 1lb of strawberries 150 calories. You will be fine as long as your daily calories are within your specific goals.

Why not try the MFP program instead? Or do you plan to do the 21 day fix, but still measure and weigh to track the calories?

I have been taking BCAA's for about 5 months now. For the first year of my weight loss I gained very little if any muscle without the BCAA's, however after starting on the BCAA's and changing my defecit from 1000 to 500 calories a day (sometimes less calories per day), I am finally noticing muscle gains. Particularly in my…

5'5 and 150 Lbs would be considered overweight even for a Man......for what BMI is worth. There is nothing wrong with a 5'5 woman wanting to be 120Lbs. Original poster may want to take some of the positive helpful advice.....there is some really good advice given.

I don't like it when people are looking for the fast fix! Long term commitment is necessary, sorry but it will take time for lasting long term results.

Bad *kitten*? More like Hot *kitten*!

There is no disputing that the yoke may taste good, and have a lot of nutrients......but on a calorie restricted diet the egg whites are a good way to help achieve protein goals and keep the caloric goals in check.

I have been on my last 17 lbs now for a couple of months or more. I have been working 60 to 80 hours a week lately (desk job) and have been maintaining but its so hard to do this without the gym. The calories burned in the gym allows me to eat what I want and still lose weight. When shutdown's are all done I should have 2…
