Just used my food scale for the first time yesterday and I was shocked. My usual 'serving' of rice measured with a one Cup measure was much more than an appropriate weighed portion. So really make an effort to be accurate. Start weighing foods!

I can tell you I felt the same once I hit 100lbs lost. I said, "heck, you can slow down now! Eat more and rest more!" And over the last year I only managed to maintain for 6 months before gaining again. I'm now back up 65lbs :/ my experience isnt everyone's but I suggest you try to stick to it. Giving myself too much slack…

I just started using a food scale versus measuring cups. A serving of rice looks a lot different when weighed :( because Im sure I shoved as many grains as possible into the cup! But that's why im doing it so I didnt complain (too much...)

Every change is worthy of celebration! Congrats and great job so far :)

Yep! I'm looking into going to a counselor myself, reschedule for very soon and commit to going. Then tell them all you say here. Honestly some people have a terrible relationship with food (myself included) and sometimes you can't do it alone. I'm pretty sure I cant, even my partner helping me isn't right because he isnt…

I think everyone is right. I havent been making the progress I want and I think its from inaccurate measurements so just last night I started weighing foods. Just dinner so far but I was surprised at the difference of what I thought it would look like vs what it was. I'm hoping to work harder each day this week to be as…

Harsh reality. Im in the same place as you right now. Actually Saturday was great, went on a hike, enjoyed great food under my cal goals, then I wanted a rest on Sunday, just eat what I wanted and track it. I ate pancakes, but pancakes turned into a dinner of just mac and cheese (a lot of it), then I let it carry over into…

I believe your fitbit number is not your BMR, BMR= literally what you need to live. Thats more likely to be the 1521 number. The 2463 is more than likely your TDEE Which is BMR+ the caloriea burned from eating, going to the bathroom, etc (all 'activity' beyond basic breathing/heart beating) but NOT your exercise calories.…

I had major jaw surgery over a year ago and a week post op I had gained 6lbs, a week later I had dropped 20. And then I got to eat again and gained it all right back. Its a strange time for your body, heal before worrying about your weight.

Same here! I am already planning ways to make next weekend better. I always plan in a small treat in my day. I log it in the morning!

You should! I make breakfast burritos for my partner and I take them out of the freezer and put them in his lunch box in the fridge. Then by the time he is at work it just needs to be heated. When they have to be defrosted via microwave the tortilla gets hard in places. Tolerable but easy to avoid!

Right? So much negativity. She likes spaghetti squash! I love it too, just had some last weekend and it may not be pasta but its a great alternative for those who want one.

Today I had a bowl of my homemade veggie soup with 4oz of chicken breast.

Planning has been my key habit. Pre-logging foods so I have the "plan" in my mind, I adjust as the day happens but having it planned loosely is key. Work days are easier than weekends, because on the weekend I have my partners feelings and desires in the mix. He likes at least one big breakfast day per weekend, Im leaning…

Just the past two days I have stopped forcing myself to eat at 9am. The issue for me is that after 9 at work, I end up out and about with the children i nanny for and I usually have an egg based breakfast (preference and calorie/protein practicality) and its tough to bring along. But yesterday I didnt eat until after noon,…

Its just oatmeal! You can buy the same sort of pre packaged cups mentioned in the cereal aisle if you're wanting to give it a shot. Quaker has some varieties with dried fruits and nuts that are pretty tasty. They'd be too high cal for me for a snack but if I made it myself I would consider it as a good option. Oats have…

My goal is to see what 150 looks like on my frame. My sister and i have similar frames (different height but same width of hips and shoulders) and she weighs 160 and has a tummy but overall great shape. I am a bit shorter than her so I'm thinking 150 is a good number to aim for but its 100lbs away. Things may change :)

I say you enjoy the day, you know you have a bank and keep track of everything anyway. Then back to whatever your plan is right away on Sunday morning.

Wow I find my phone so much faster because the list of frequent items loads as I type! Anyway, I work as a nanny so my day is a little different in that at LEAST the food isnt mine! I adjusted my eating schedule to match the kids, I eat when they eat and they're on a schedule of meals and snacks so they only eat at certain…

Just so I understand, do I update this reply each week or copy last week's into a new post? Name: Brianne Age: 25 Height: 5'7" Start Weight (1st November): Goal Weight (1st December): 1st November: 8th November: 15th November: 22nd November: 29th November: 1st December: Weight lost/gained this week: Weight lost/gained this…

Well, my first question is do you have a plan for THEIR candy? Cause most kids end up with just insane amounts and certainly isnt wise to just let them have at it. Will you keep it put away and allow them to chose one or two per day for a little while? Thats always been the plan for families I nanny for. They'll get a…

I think brown rice and beans probably has more nutritional value to a growing body than peanut butter. Especially if you buy average peanut butter. Brown rice is a whole grain and has valuable vitamins and minerals that are naturally occuring vs. Being added in to bread products. So a pot of a mixture of beans, rice, and…

Could it just be too heavy for you in the morning? I feel pretty gross and weighed down if I eat too early, or too much. You should give it a shot at other meals if you want to test that theory. I like oatmeal a lot for its ability to keep me full for hours! But I haven't experienced what you have personally. Maybe a full…

Lol YAAAAAS there is always room for the occasional splurge!

Slowand steady really is best. I like my 1400 calories because I know I *could* reduce it later on if I hit a plateau and need a boost. I could easily cut 100 cals and burn a little more if I want to switch it up. So I prefer a higher start point! Im watching my weight for 30 full days at least (maybe 60- we'll see!) And…

Now may be a great time to look into eating more at a bit of a surplus and build muscle mass. Bf % looks quite low!

I will tell you my choices and how I handle it and maybe you'll see something that could help you! I weigh daily, after using the toilet but before anything else. I want a lot of data so I can hopefully start to see a trend. Im giving myself 30 days to evaluate my current plan and to know if its working. I say 30 because…

The chocolate peanut butter poptarts are excellent frozen btw.

Mac and cheese or lasagna!

Im going to be blunt. I lost 50 lbs on atkins shakes and minimal actual food. I gained it right back because not a single part of my plan was sustainable. I literally just broke down and at that point my body was just pissed off. I then couldnt lose weight for a while, Im not sure what was up but my body resisted all my…
