  • I love most teas! My favorite is this oolong my boyfriend buys, I cant recall the name exactly but it has this almost toasted rice like flavor, its really interesting. On a daily basis I like Yerba Mate, green teas, anything with mint, lemon ginger, and matcha!

  • My desktop has a series of 3-4 photos of myself at my lowest weight ever and I often leave one open before the computer sleeps. I also see it as a reminder that I can and have done it before and I will get there. Its a good idea.
  • I shall spend it quietly sobbing at my lack of feline companionship. Im allergic :(
  • Yes absolutely. You'll see a quick loss at first which is usually excess water heading out. Anytime I drop more than a half pound over night I suspect its mostly water. Especially when you're just starting! But dont let the idea that its water weight discourage you, its a sign your body is getting ready to let the fat go.
  • Hey, if its your goal then its your goal. Dont let anyone diminish what you're trying to accomplish! I think for the last few weeks before the wedding you could switch up your exercise. Changing activities causes the body to have to work a little harder. Maybe focus on parts of your body that show in your dress too, like…
  • I had lost over 100lbs and am now dealing with a 50lb or so gain and losing again. Im pretty early in it, practicing good habits for a month or so but only on a full "plan" for 10 days now. I have lost just a half inch off my waist and I feel down too. So angry that I let myself slide back to these bad habits that had me…
  • Sure, BUT personally I would rather enjoy a reasonable portion of something a little less expensive! I have bought a quest bar now and again when I am craving them, but I'm planning to eat a little chocolate every night this week to practice true moderation every day. As far as "good for dessert" they're fine! Just know…
  • I am loving youtube videos, and the one I did yesterday has me quite sore. So I'm going to keep to walking and stretching for today, maybe even tomorrow too depending on how I feel. I think how YOU feel is more important than any fitness rules. If you feel challenged, its a good workout! If you feel up for it daily, go for…
  • I only use the free youtube videos, but they're pretty great! The one I watched yesterday had modifications for low impact or to have the movement be more strenuous. It was fun getting to try them all! Im super sore today, it was certainly a new way to challenge myself.
  • You could absolutely be right! But I have tried several options, some did nothing! So some strains just dont always work in every body because each body has different gaps (if any at all).
  • I had tried a few with minimal effects, but funny enough a childrens version is what did it for me. After 3 or 4 days I had a totally different digestive system. They needed refrigeration so I wanted to try another, and this new one doesnt work nearly as well. I will be switching back to the children's chewable soon!
  • I also use fitbit. I worked out hard today for 60 minutes and hit my step goal of 10k steps. My fitbit gave me 800 calories from all that. Maybe you have a larger frame and therefore burn more calories. I would not estimate these numbers to be correct. I have read that some will eat back up to half, but i dont even feel…

  • Okay, if you are logging correctly this could just be a normal weight loss plateu. When I first lost 100lbs, i stalled for months at ~70lbs down. I looked at everything and the numbers were right but the weight wasn't moving. I decided to switch my exercise from running to the elliptical, and that seemed to do the trick.…
  • I like to do youtube workouts like fitness blender. I get variety, lots of options, and best of all most of them are the mix of cardio and body weight exercises that accomplishes the goals of torching calories and using my muscles to prevent them being eaten up as fuel. Do a search and look around! Today I did a 24 minute…
  • I'd give yourself a week or two to adjust. Personally I am like an infant when it comes to sleep, I need regularity and I do not do well with changes! So, start by setting an absolute bed time. Something you can manage right now, say 12. Then wake up an hour earlier than usual at 7 and see how you feel. If you're tired,…
  • Yep! Agreed. Im not perfect, I make crystal light now and again but in general it is best to avoid the artificially sweetned stuff. I had an infusion pitcher that was great. I'd make cucumber mint water, lemon water, strawberry water! Anything really. Now if Im really wanting flavor I drink tea or just add a bit of lemon…

  • Try getting a water drinking app, I used one for about 6 months. It reminded me to drink every two hours. Eventually I was able to work up to the amount recommended for my size and activity level. Now I dont need an app or even to record, i can just tell by how I feel! I had a super hydrated body for so long it feels wrong…
  • Im up a little from my lowest right now but from a friend I hadnt seen in years (saw me at 320lbs, again at 215) and she said so adorably: "Oh my gosh, where did you go?"
  • Haha on my Aria one morning I lost 1.5lbs but gained 3% bf. Hmmmm..... I dont give either number too much thought on a daily basis, Im interested to see a trend over time.
  • Right? You summed it up. Everyone wishes it was different than simply "well... just don't!" It sucks to say no! But if its something you want to be able to do, my strategy for these events (and holidays coming up) is an AM exercise, super light meals (like fill my tummy with veggies so Im stuffed but for very little cals),…
  • Haha that's cute! I just google the product until I find it online haha.
  • Im a bit obsessed with the scale too but Im so early in my plan that I need to know if I'm on the right path with my CICO. So to combat my typical "if the number is not what I want to see then Im gonna throw a fit and eat crap and cry" route, i weigh daily. Yep, it varies by many pounds sometimes but each day I feel less…
  • My afternoon snack is almost always a cheese stick wrapped in a few slices of a lunch meat and some mustard. I need protein right at about the same time as you otherwise I eat while I cook dinner!

  • I feel like joining in the community discussions is really helping me too! I bet your lunch problem can be solved with pre-planning on evenings or a weekend. Make a big batch version of something that fits your tastes and needs (I am an omnivore and honestly dont know a ton of vegetarian options to give ideas). This…
  • I think your reply is most similar to my own thinking. I used to eat breakfast at home at 6 am, and found myself wanting to eat almost a whole 4th meal with all the snacks I needed to stave off hunger. I do eat three meals a day because it works for me. Some days Im not hungry at 9:30 but eat because I'm heading out with…
  • Im getting back into taking my multivitamins, i never do notice anything really as far as benefits but I'm glad to know all the vitamins are getting in there. I worry about my bones!
  • Amen!
  • Oh lordy I wish my skin could take it! I schedule baths as rewards though :) they're so relaxing!
  • I just ran into this little 'road block' the other day. I live in the Pacific Northwest so if I want to keep my running outdoors, which I do because I like it more than inside, I need to be prepared! So I bought a super cute headband to keep my ears warm and I am looking for a simple visor to keep the rain off my face. I…
