I don't CARE! It is noms! Actually, I do eat sushi quite often. I try to get vegetable based, non-fried or straight sashimi/tataki style items most often. As a matter of fact I am basking in Post-Sushi glow right now (had it for lunch!) I limit myself to one roll with rice. The one I had today was around 300 calories.…

I LOVE squats!!! (I just keep telling myself that)

That sounds so good! As a matter of fact, that sounds like dinner tonight ...

Try setting goals that aren't centered on the scale. All the scale knows is the effect of gravity on your body. It has no clue what the composition of that mass is. It could be muscle, water, fat, it any variation of combinations. Put the scale away and only measure at prescribed intervals... weekly, every other week. Any…

I somewhere in the upper end of week 2 maybe starting week 3 range: Squat - 80 OH Press - 55 (but it was NOT anywhere close to easy going to have to work on form and other moves to build this one up for sure!) Deadlift - 110 Bench - 60 Row - 80 I messed up calculations one day when I went in to do the workout so now my…

Love it! I don't lift at home... Have a decent gym facility available just 2.5 miles from my driveway. But finding the 3 or 4 2.5# plates they have there is often a challenge... it's like people try to hide them or something. I don't think a 1.25# exists there at all!

I have removed the key from the big ol' key ring and laced it into my shoelaces before. My best friend slips her iPhone into her sports bra so she can listen to music while she works out. I also have the little pocket in the back of a couple pairs of running tights/pants and can fit an ID and a Key in there as well. They…

I had good luck with Jeggings when wearing higher boots. Higher ankle boots even. Look like jeans, skin-tight, and sessy, but a little breathe in them!

Welcome back! I went through a spell where I had lost 28 pounds and then gained 18 of it back. I am trying to stay on track now, but admit it can be a struggle. I have been trying to change my outlook to see the positives while still trying to be realistic with myself and not patting myself on the back so much that I slide…

Don't worry about what hubby says! I can't run faster than 5.5 mph for any given amount of time ... on rare occasion I hit a 7 mph moment on my runs with the gps monitoring for me but don't ask me how long or how I did it, No clue.. MOST IMPORTANT: You are improving. Keep on keeping on and enjoy it, don't make it something…

Look at you being Awesome! Fantastic! WTG!

I see nothing wrong with the human body, male and female, they can be downright beautiful! BUT How you present yourself matters in this world. If you dress like a thug, I will automatically treat you like a thug until you prove differently. If you dress in the fashion of the latest call-girl trends, that is how you are…

Great job! Your friends are right... Celebrate such an achievement!

Many recommendations I have seen say 1 gram of protein per pound of goal weight. SO I set my calorie limit with that in mind. So I get my 145 grams of protein and then split the rest between carbs and fats (25% fats, everything else carbs) ... took a little finagling with the goals setting options, but I am happy with the…

I have done this before: Using a step or some other item that would support my weight, while watching TV (sit-com or drama or what have you). Simply watch the show while doing steps at a comfortable yet challenging pace. When a commercial comes on, change it to something faster or more intense (jumping jacks, mountain…

Since you don't have any equipment. I would suggest body weight strength exercises to add to your cardio. (And if you could change cardio up a bit with swimming and bicycling, it would help keep you from getting bored.) Pushups Planks "Air" Squats Walking or stationary lunges Yoga (Sun salutation full asana) Calf raises…

You stated that there have been sales floor attendants asking if they can help you? Oh by golly let them! My mother works at a retail store, and while yes, some sales people will tell you something looks good just to make a sale, most really do want to help too. They want you to look and feel good about your purchases so…

I usually go for the worst, I find the closest thing, add a couple hundred (by saying I ate an extra half serving or something of that nature) if I know there is something unusual about the item (like extra bacon) and call it done. Or I add the unusal addition as its own item in the logs. One day will not a habit make. As…

I hear you clucking and have felt the same way. I decided to change my strategy a bit. I now eat the maintenance calories for my goal weight instead of the recommended deficit calories. This will help me get used to appropriate portions for when I finally get there. I don't mind taking my time at this point. I am also…

Get up, Get dressed, Go out, Enjoy! The kuhl thing about it is noone there to pressure you or try to convince you that that guy is cute, etc. If you like, you say so, if not that's a say so thing too! Nobody to judge or condemn!

I am with you there ... I think my mom accidentally was giving me some Noassatall instead of aspirin when I was a kid... I would love some insight there as well... Even overweight, I am all gut and no butt! Big ol' case of the gone-*kitten*. No heiney and whiny. Glutimus forgotus. No Fanny Annie! Can't line dance because…

LOL ... the scale is such a devious little brat! Do you know WHAT a scale knows? The effect of gravity on your body. THAT'S IT!!! That scale knows nothing about your body composition, muscle to fat ratio or water retention or dehydration levels. ALL it knows is the effect of gravity. So, I encourage you, find other ways to…

Talk to him. You made valid points and have valid concerns. You are investing your money into this and you have the right to address your concerns. He may not even know that his personal issues may be having an effect and certainly, if you are worried that you will be left in the lurch, this needs to be addressed before a…

I used to calmly tell my children "I'm sorry, I don't speak whinese. When you speak in a volume that is appropriate AND a language that I DO understand, I will be happy to listen to you. Until then, you will get no further response." Then continue on my way doing what I was doing before the cranky voice, whining, needy…

OK to start ... you are not a wimp. You have simply not trained your body to do more than that... yet. :) Start with basics as stated before ... use weights that challenge you and don't make it easy, but which don't cause your body to revert to poor form in order to complete the job you are asking it to do. If you try a…
