Week 2 Day 1 done. My frickin' elliptical wouldn't start this morning so I did push ups instead. A 34 calorie burn instead of 450...yippee  Anyway, 12 12 9 7 17 on last set

You are facing the sun, and therefore your shadow is behind you.

Me! Me!
-
Pink!!! I love it!!
-
Don't worry, I am NOT doing the sit up challenge, and my abs are sore while doing the push ups too. Goes to show you how much you actually use your core while doing push ups!
-
OK, just completed W1 D3. Beth, I also found this easier than Day 2. My set was 15 13 10 10 20 (got 20 in on the last set) Party on! Lisa
-
I noticed the same thing. Once you complete a day, you can't see what the numbers were in each set. Bugs me.

OK, just got W1 D2 done. It was tougher this time for sure. I find it amazing how sore my abs actually are from Day 1. I really felt it there while I was doing it tonight. 12 12 10 10 17 max on my last set
-
Are you kidding?! You did 30 on the last set? Holy crap! You are awesome!
-
Day 1 done. It was tougher than I thought it would be. I did all the sets fine though, and got 10 in on the last set.

You look fantastic! It looks like you lost 35 pounds from your butt! Seriously, you have a beautiful family. You have done a superb job. Congrats!

There are a few guys in my yoga class. I think yoga is for everyone. It is a great core workout, and since I've been doing it, my arms and shoulders have seriously toned up. I'm not sure what the guys' goals/reasons are for doing yoga, but they seem to really enjoy it, and look great.
-
I think it IS all that yoga. I'm telling you, my shoulders are looking wicked since I've been doing it. My yoga instructor includes a LOT of downward facing dog, and we go through vinyasa a lot as well, in which you hold a low plank with your elbows tucked into your sides. Back when we were doing 30DS and Ripped in 30,…

OH God! I'm a-scared!

OK, I just did my test, with hubby watching for form and doing the counting. I did 20, so I'll be in Level 3.
-
OK, clearly, resistance is futile. I have caved, and here I am. Gonna try to complete my test today or tomorrow. Have downloaded the app on my iphone, but don't know if that was necessary.:drinker: Lisa

Thanks everyone! I'm tickled pink over this, and all your kind words made me feel even better!

My rule is, if it has calories (the sugar), or caffeine, it doesn't count as water.

I'm Lisa, from Ontario, Canada. I am a new runner, and have really grown to love it. Most of my exercise lately is cardio, and I do Yoga twice per week. For Cardio I either run or do my elliptical, but I need to get back to strength training. I have completed the 30 Day Shred as well as Ripped in 30, and love to hate…

I completed the 30DS back in May. Unfortunately, I did not take before and after pics at the time, but I did take my measurements, and posted them when I finished. Here they are: I measured myself the day I started, and then the morning after I finished. My totals are: Weight, -10lbs. Waist, -3.5 in. Hips, -2 in. Chest,…

I don't think anyone is actually getting the point of the videos. Perhaps no one watched the whole thing. He is NOT saying 1200 does not work. He is saying it DOES work. His point is, that when people say it is not working for them, it is because they are not counting their calories correctly. My problem with this guy is…
-
Wow, this guy is an *kitten*. He is basically saying that we are all idiots, and the only reason we are not losing weight is because we THINK we are eating 1200 calories per day, but are counting wrong.

I'd rather go over on Protein than Carbs....of course that never happens for me. :(

 I usually DO fail, so this time I turned all the clocks back last night at 8PM.

I just looked up Pickel Barrel online and they have their menu and nutritional information on their site. You can figure it all out and log it before you even go, and plan your day accordingly. I do this whenever I will be eating out. Have fun!!
-
You could either pick sedentary and log ALL your exercise, including housework etc, or pick lightly active and only log "extra" exercise, like actual workouts ie. walks, runs, gym, DVDs etc.

I wear yoga pants and a long sleeve shirt, sometimes a jacket over that. Also, sometimes I wear thin gloves. The thing is, it may be freezing when you start, but I guarantee you'll be sweating in no time and peeling that jacket off. Make sure it is one that can tie around your waist.
