Mac and cheese! Pretty sure any 7 yo will eat that, and you can lighten it up with light cream cheese, light cheese, skim or 1%milk, and Whole wheat macaroni. I always have these items in the house, so I could make this any night. My kids love it.

I often workout right when I get home from work, and before dinner, and I often find I am downright b**chy after my workout. I think it is because I am hungry....yet still have to MAKE dinner. You might be right about the hormones, though. I've never thought of that.

I totally understand. I have logged the Tostitos and Con Queso dip I plan on having later, and it will put me over by 75 calories (not to mention the sodium and fat), and in the grand scheme of things, its only one day, its only 75 cals, but I still feel guilty. I don't understand why you can't walk to school to get them? The school can't FORCE you to do ANYTHING! You'd think they would be promoting walking as a healthy option for the kids to get exercise. Ours does.

Use sedentary and log all your exercise. The settings are based on what you generally do all day. For example, I have a desk job, so I set sedentary, and log my workouts. If I was a store clerk or something, I might change it to lightly active...but I would still log my workouts because they are over and above the norm.

The ads on this site are done by Google, and are driven by your search history. If you searched a pizza website (I order pizza online) you will get ads for pizza. I saw a commercial on tv for the Genie Bra, googled it, and instantly started getting Genie Bra ads on MFP.

It is pretty standard for me to not lose at all for a week, or even 2, and then drop 3-4 lbs over the course of the next week. I wouldn't say you were plateauing after only a week. Have patience, it will come. :flowerforyou:

Lock it up! Have hubby hide it or lock it somewhere where you can't get access and have him bring it out once per week to weigh in, then lock it right back up. Good luck! :happy:

I would leave it the same. YOu just won't have all those extra calories to eat back. It actually might do your body some good to not be exercising so much, and then not eating so much. Good luck! and have fun!

I go for a 3km walk everyday at work. I go with a co-worker, and it takes us 30 minutes....we hustle it. We mapped out a route using mapmyroute.com . We do it on our lunch break.

Congrats! and kudos to you for taking this initiative so soon after having your baby! I remember back to when I had my first child, and at 10 weeks, I was too busy crying because he wouldn't STOP crying to worry about weight loss and planning meals. Can't see your diary, but I know that when the same thing happened to me, I started a challenge with a few friends to drink a gallon of water (16 cups) per day, and within a few days I was down a couple of pounds.

I do the same thing. I'm afraid to load up in the morning, and then be "screwed" for dinner. My answer to that is to plan my meals/snacks the night before (on weekdays anyway, while I am packing my food for work the next day), and log it all. I believe New Balance shoes come in different widths. I also agree with going to a running store to get fitted. It will probably cost more the first time, but then you could just keep replacing those same shoes when they wear out....cheaper...online.

The BMR 1412 is the number of calories your body will burn if you sat and did nothing all day. 1200 NET is what you should be aiming for in order to create a deficit.
