I'm 5'0 and I cannot imagine maintaining 1000 calories a day. If that's what you legitimately think you need, I would recommend checking in with your doctor. They might have a more concrete suggestion of a calorie goal given your stats.

In high school, it was 115-120 (depending on whether it was wrestling season or not), it was 150 after my first year of university, and now it's 128 (transition to an overweight BMI, 5'0). I've been maintaining 123-127 lately and it's been okay. Even though the difference between 127 and 128 is very little, the labels…

While I agree that going under 1200 is unhealthy in almost all cases, this is sensationalism at best. While I have since upped my calories to around 1600, I was eating at 1200 as a 5'0 woman with chronic health issues for several weeks with a physician's guidance. I would not recommend it unless you know what you're doing,…

Okay. I posted something like this when I started. The best advice I got was if I was that under, have a few glasses of wine or an extra serving of whatever I'm eating or, hell, even a piece of chocolate cake. The point of setting a goal is that you reach it. Getting severely under your goal is not success because it's…

The wraps worry me more than anything else, to be honest. They are not sustainable and only give artificial results. I used to do wrestling and we would use that approach for making a weight class because sweating out water weight could help making the cut superficially. The problem is that it involves sweating out…

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't cider generally the same amount of calories as a glass of wine if not more? (Consider: 6oz glass of red wine at ~150cal and a pint of cider ~250cal) I suppose if you're talking amount to calorie ratio, but I tend to think in standard serving sizes.

As long as you can do it in a healthy way and are able to maintain there comfortably. I'm 5'0 and maintaining between 115-120. I would love to lose another 10-15lbs, but I'm realizing that doing that would push me into seriously bad habits and ruin my ability to go out socially. For me, that's a deal breaker. I'd rather be…

Honestly, I tend to treat myself to a glass or two of wine or a chocolate bar. You could try upping your portion sizes. 1200 is actually pretty low for most people, so if you're concerned about keeping it off- you may want to evaluate if that's right for you. Different numbers work for different people.

Neck, back, and breasts were first.

American Eagle worked well for me at a size 8 because they have different leg length options. I'm 5'0. They were flattering too.

I'm 5'0 and I eat 1500 to 1900 calories a day.

I've gone from 148lbs to 119lbs. I lost the first ~12 without counting calories and then lost another ~12 at 1500 a day. Recently I've bumped it up to about 1800 and I've been walking a lot more. I'm 5'0.

I find if I move it that the weight changes. But generally if I step on it several times I get matching numbers by the 3rd time. I'd contact FitBit about that though.
-
Have you considered lifting weights and exercise to shape your legs?
-
I don't think 100lbs is a healthy goal for a 5'9 woman. Can I ask why you're aiming for it?
-
Ugh. People who try and tell me that going gluten-free or vegan will magically make me lose weight.

5'0, 120lbs, and 27 inch waist. (I don't have a measurement from my heaviest, 147lbs, but I was at 29.5 inches at 135lbs.)

Yeah, thanks but no thanks. I think your heart is in the right place, but processed foods aren't necessarily bad. I grew up being told that they were all bad and would make me fat. You know what made me gain weight? Eating too much. I've lost 27 pounds in the last year drinking alcohol and eating food court pad thai. I…

I was stalled around 121lbs for the last 3 weeks at 5'0 eating a NET of 1200 (using FitBit, eating average of 1550), I woke up this morning just under 120lbs. Dieting isn't a linear thing in that sometimes things don't show in a nice daily fashion. You haven't been doing this too long, you will lose on 1200 with time.

If it's about dependence, then switching to tea may not be the best thing as you're switching one caffeine source for another. If it's about calories, then choose lower-calorie additions or just go black. Either way, there are a lot worse things to depend upon :)

Chicken wings. When I found out that university wings nights were easily a day and a half of calories alone for me, I no longer felt as good about the money I was "saving".
-
I binged at a party on chips- but I kept to my two drink pre-logged promise to myself AND I didn't feel bad about the food. I acknowledged that I ate more than I would have liked, logged it, and moved on.

Hey there! Your stats are similar to mine. I'm 5'0, 21 years old, and I started here in May at 135. I'm currently stuck between 121 and 122lbs, but I've found success eating between 1400 and 1600 calories and walking more. I haven't been to a gym during this time and I've lost 13 pounds. I do 1400 on weekends and 1600 on…

I love mine. I've had it for a year and a half. I had gained my initial 15 sometime before that (putting me at 135) and then I went up another 12 pounds around the time leading up to and following its insertion. Though I could easily blame birth control for it, I know enough about science to know it could be explained much…

OP - add some peanut butter or something similar. 1200 is too aggressive if you only have 8lbs to lose, imo.
-
I won't say anything about you not needing to lose weight. But your diary is really unhealthy. You shouldn't be eating under 1000 calories daily, especially when you're so close to your goal.
-
Well, hydration is good for keeping you generally healthy. So, there's that. Other than that, green tea isn't going to magically make you lose weight. It's pretty much zero calorie if you drink it black, so it's about as good as water with flavour. I personally love tea, but it doesn't make me lose weight. I eat at a…

You can have more than 1300. Eating too little will just make it harder because you WILL be hungry and that affects your general energy and mood.
-
That sounds okay to me. I eat 1400-1600 as a 5'0 woman at 122lbs and I'm losing 0.5-1lb a week.
-
I'd be more concerned about your total calories than bread. Going through the last week and you have several days under 1000 calories. You could totally eat a few slices of bread and it would probably be healthier.
