I'm 5'0. I was around 147lbs last summer. Lost about 12 pounds with no effort (drank less, mostly) and now I'm one month into a serious attempt. I've gone from 135 to 129.5 since the beginning of May. So so so so close to a healthy BMI :)

Sriracha in a rum and coke. Made a friend drink it, but the smell still haunts me.

I tend to log the main item (i.e. burger) and the side separately. As for your second question, it depends on whether they are a PART of the meal or additions/sides, I think. Check out the given totals and see whether they seem realistic with how the individual things should add up. Restaurants are always going to be a…

I went from getting drunk at least 4 times a week to only having about two drinks a week (Last night being an exception). I lost my initial 12 pounds between August 2013 and April 2014 just cutting back with no change to eating or exercise habits. Since I've started counting calories, I've lost 5 pounds (in a month).…

Mine is open, but I really don't eat as healthy as 85% of the people on here.

Can't you just lay out in the sun wearing bathing suit bottoms and cover your upper body?

Hi! I'm huge into GoT, Dr. Who, and BtVS. Who else is stoked for the GoT episode tonight? I have about 15-20lbs left to lose.
-
Added June 1st, 129.3!

Thanks for the input guys! :) I think I'm going to prelog my alcohol and then adjust that as needed, that way I'll be able to put my snacking into perspective. (I really prefer wine to junk food like chips anyhow....)

1200 + fitbit adjustment (~250-500) So, I guess my absolute bottom "if I do nothing today" is 1200. I tend to end up around 1500 though, more energy and I get to fit in tasty treats. But, feel free to add me :)

Two inches shorter, but aiming at 110-120lbs.

I tend to buy things in single serve. When I get larger things (like, ****, I have pumpkin pie in my fridge), I log the portion and put the rest away before eating.

I loved it. Now I want to rewatch the older movies.

Vodka + crystal light and perrier

Log it on here and it transfers over. I use FitBit to see activity and MFP for food.
-
Yes. It's saying you've moved more than your MFP activity level. If you set sedentary, then maybe you're more active. Eat these, or a fraction of back. Your deficit will be the same for weight loss per week.

+1 I was eating less than 800 calories many days while drinking heavily. I gained weight from drinking, not eating. Cutting back on alcohol has left me actively having to eat more.
-
This seems borderline disordered eating, imo. Especially because it doesn't sound like the numbers change for gender or height.
-
Estimating is working for me because I'm set on MFP for a loss of 0.8lbs a week and I'm aiming at 0.5 realistically. Also, I want this to be something I stick to. I don't want to have to turn down invites to go out with friends because I can't weigh my food. It's not practical for a university student, imo.

Go to a recreation/leisure centre with a gym It's under $5 admission and they have scales and you can work out.

Hey, feel free to add me. I'm 5'0 with 1200 + Fitbit adjustment (200-600 extra). Today, for example, I'm doing: ~205 calorie breakfast (coffee and a Lara bar) ~500 calorie lunch (espresso, spicy tuna roll, and 2 pieces of salmon nageri) ~475 calorie dinner (basmati rice and broccoli bites) Then I'll probably have a piece…

Every thread someone has to point it out when someone is genuinely asking for help. I was eating under 800 calories a day for a long time and drinking heavily most days. While there are higher calorie options that I substitute in because I'm not used to eating a lot, 1200 calories was genuinely hard for awhile . I think…

+1 I'm sick of seeing fake accounts berating this form of birth control. I don't know what the angle is, but Mirena is a completely valid option and does not directly cause weight gain. Yes, you can gain weight on it as with any other form of birth control or even with no birth control. Men can gain just as much in the…

This is really rude. I'm full on 1200 as a 5'0 woman who switched from drinking my calories in sugary drinks and booze and eating a ton of candy to eating proper meals. You don't know OP's situation.

As someone starting within 10 pounds of a healthy BMI (2 pounds away now!) and not at any immediate danger, I think this movement is nice in that it reminds that beauty and health are not always the magazine version of skinny. Curvy is okay too. While I definitely think that health should always be a priority, having some…

Do you leave your scale in one place? I have FitBit's Aria and I was confused at first about how off my weight seemed, but then I figured out that when you pick it up- you need to "reset" it which means putting it down, stepping on it, stepping off and repeating until you get identical weights (with mine it's generally two…

My Flex has never fallen off. I use the small size band and it's like a belt, it goes as tight as you need it.

I'm Canadian but I don't speak French, sadly. I'm 21 and in my 4th year of an English Lit degree. Feel free to add me :) (I'm 5'0 and aiming for 115ish)

- That people are really quick to try and slow down your process or think you're "taking it too far" - How quick people are to tell you that you "don't need to lose weight" if you're relatively close to a healthy BMI - How frustrating it is to need new jeans but know that they probably won't fit in a few months
