  • You look amazing! I love the picture of (I'm assuming) your daughter, but I love LOVE the fact that you did not feel the need to "hide" behind anything in the second picture! Not even your purse! Beautiful confident lady doing an awesome job!! Keep up the hard work!
  • You look amazing! And your right, others success is an inspiration! Thanks for being an inspiration!!
  • I agree with Kate on staying strong on regular days. And go to your parties with "moderation" on your brain. Know your going to have a piece of cake and be okay with it. Then when you go to get it make it the smallest piece. Plus after eating good you won't need as big of a piece to satisfy your taste.
  • 52 next week and going thru the same same struggles!! Add me and we WILL do this!!
  • Add me, sounds like stuff a lot of women go thru!
  • I do! This is actually my 3rd time around with MFP, the first 2 times I didn't reach to the community much, and I think that was. Big mistake of mine. I am gonna be 52 next week, suffer from arthritis in my knees and 50 lbs extra. I'm never going to do an intensity workout, I will walk lots, elliptical when it rains and…
  • Sounds good, that's what I'll do!!
  • No idea. Right now I'm At 5:20 pm. Kinda wondering if I should just log a day early.
  • Keeping food at your desk could be an advantage.... Just have to make sure you have the right kind of food!!! Good luck to you!
  • Oh girl, 90% of us know EXACTLY what you feel!! And the majority of us know exactly HOW to lose weight, we are masters at it. ( I guess I should only speak for myself here!!) I have lost (and gained back) the same 30 pounds many many times in my life. Whoever said that alot of it is a mind game, I feel is totally spot on.…
  • You guys all awesome!! I knew I could count on you to "tell me to get off my *kitten*!!" I realize no one can make me, I realize I have to do it myself, but sometimes I do need a kick in the butt!! Thanks for not disappointing me!!
  • Maybe thats an idea, give myself one slightly cheat day, where I know that I can have a sweet without feeling badly. Obviously not a day to go overboard, but a day that if I want that one cookie it's ok. A day to eat 2000 cals instead off 1600.
  • Yes, I do eat my exercise cals back. and I kinda knew 20 was reaching, but I thought I'd ask others. I'm going to try pushing a little harder in my workout, start some strenght training, I know it'll make me feel much better if I feel stronger and less "flabby", Thanks for the input and honest replies, I appreciate it!
  • Here I go again!! 2nd time around on this site, looking for all the support I can get!! I've lost 30 some so far, and have about 45 to go. I can do this, and anyone who wants to add me can, and we can do it together!!
  • Hey all, been gone a few days again, but not in the giving up fashion. Just beeen busy! I have been walking, doing 2 miles yesterday and 4 miles today. not sure if I'll be able to hit my target since I didnt' domuch the first week but I'm gonna give it a good try. Stay strong all,
  • Hi everyone, you mind if I drop back in? July was a tough month for me, exercise, weight loss, everything. I know I've gained, probably most of what I had lost, but at this point I'm not getting on the scale. Makes me sad,, so I"m gonna go with how I feel and how my clothes fit. But I am going to try very hard to get back…
  • Well, loos ittle group died out didn't it. I'm doing ok, Joni you sound like your doing great, Kris, stay strong, you be great. I'm gonna go take a walk. Does anyone else belong to a different group that maybe I could slide into? I know I haven't been on much but when I'm in a group it helps me stay focused and I'd really…
  • Hi, remember me????? I think I lost myself and found someone else when I woke up this morning. Been exactly 2 weeks since I did anything for exercise. so this morning I was feeling pretty good, of course it's hotter than **** outside, but i made myself get on my treadmill. It took me 20 minutes to walk a mile, and I was…
  • Yarmiah, you are rocking, keep up the fantastic work. Super job on your loss!! I am up 3 lbs from the 1st of the month. I should have known better than to weigh, but at least this way I am aware of the damage no exercise is causing and can try to make myself eat even better and drink more water until I'm back on track.…
  • Hi all, you've all been kinda quiet this week!! I had a fantastic weekend mini vacation with my mom, aunt, & cousin. We did alot of walking and I made smart food choices. Even tho we ate out every meal. I did not have one fried food. I did mostly salads, and then grilled chicken. I feel very good about it. I did have an…
  • Just scanned the logging right now, I'll go back and red more thouroughly later. I have been out, in bed, since Monday. I woke up not able to move because my back hurt. Got into the dr. on Tuesday. I have a deteriorating disk, (which I knew), but I have a bulging disk that is acting up, and narrowing of my spinal column…
  • good morning all, just got back from a 4 mile walk outside. Nice walking the first have there was a breeze, but the second half the breeze was at my back so I really got a sweat in. Ann - another thing you could do to bring your heart rate up is punches. They really get you going if you do them fast. That was one of the…
  • You are doing soooooo great! Yes you are right, motivation is exactly what it is!!! You get new pants, you get new pants!!! I'm soooo happy for you!! doin' the happy dance!! You be careful doning it, I'd hate to see you show off your "assets" to the world!!!
  • oohhh girlfriend, your gonna find muscles you didn't know you had!!! That is a workout, even if the heart rate didn't go up for long. Great job!
  • Ann - I am soooo sorry to hear your news about your foot. I can so understand where you are coming from. I've had surgery on my right foot twice in the last 6 years. (not on the spurs) I can't speak about the torn tendons, but I understand the heel spurs. I've got spurs in both my heels. Found them about 3 years ago. Hurt…
  • Joni - don't be nervous! If it was an easy journey it wouldn't be as satisfing! You are doing great! You know that! Think about wheere you were when you first started. I bet you couldn't run near like you are now. You've come a long way and you are dominating this journey!!! Keep it up and don't give up! Kris - I do…
  • That is fantastic!! Glad you can work it out to make it a little easier on yourself.
  • AFternoon everyone! You all make me feel ashamed with all your canning, home made ice cream, etc. All I can is peaches and pears, and haven't even done that for a year. I do freeze my own corn tho, so I guess that is something. We had a terrific 4th. Very relaxing and no pressure. I did have to work, but afterwork the boys…
  • Happy Saturday!!! Kris - you have great goals. Exercise everyday, that is awesome. You keep that goal and you will DEFINATELY hit your goal of hitting the 180's this month!! Your only 2 lbs away, you'll do it. Even with vacation. You know how to make the smart choices, and your an achiever. so................. go achieve!!…
