I'm doing about 1600 a day, but thinking that I might reduce that by 100-150 to see if I have better results.

I don't doubt that your heart is in the right place, but if my husband were on the internet looking for ways to help me lose weight (while talking about somewhat personal information,) I'd be really angry. I know that I've complained to him about things because I just needed to have someone listen, not necessarily to have…

This post is foul. OP, stop making yourself throw up, it's not good for you.

This post explains it really well: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/912920-in-place-of-a-road-map-3-2013

http://www.anschutzwellness.com/news/clinical-trial-affirms-diet-beverages-play-positive-role-in-weight-loss-dieters The above study proved that diet soda had a role in weight loss, and that diet soda drinkers reported feeling less hungry, showed greater improvements in serum levels of total cholesterol and LDL and had…

I'm just going to deposit this link right here. Diet drink lovers, rejoice. http://www.anschutzwellness.com/news/clinical-trial-affirms-diet-beverages-play-positive-role-in-weight-loss-dieters

This post has me feeling so much better. I weighed myself today and was up 2 lbs... and then I remembered that my visitor is expected any day now. I'm not so worried anymore. Thanks for all your comments here!

I'm intrigued by the assertions regarding cortisol, but I think that they have been overexaggerated by the diet pill industry. I think that cortisol probably encourages fat that you'd be getting no matter what to concentrate around your midsection, but I think it would take a pretty serious amount, over a very long period…

Surely your post-secondary feminism course would have taught you that it takes more than calling someone a 'crazy b*tch' to make a person a misogynst. Misogyny is indicated by a history of behavior, not by an internet argument.
-
Kegels get that problem solved quickly.
-
Oh, I exorcised out my misogyny long ago.

1000 calories is not a sufficient amount, regardless of how SUPER NUTRITIOUS your food is. Put some fat in there, increase your calories. I do not have nearly the experience or education on health and fitness that many others here do, but I am very clear that a net of 500 cals daily is dangerous.
-
Wrong. America is fat because people prefer to live in ignorance about what they are putting in to their bodies - either portion-wise, or content-wise. That is no more TGIFriday's responsibility than it is Coke's or McD's or whatever. Those are businesses, who are tasked with providing a product that tastes good to the…

heck yeah!

Bison is great, but I find it to be pretty dry for things like burgers.

I lost 35 lbs on WW several years ago, so I won't discourage you. The community aspect and weekly weigh-in were really useful for me in building accountability. I didn't want to be the person at the meetings who didn't have a loss week after week, so I did great sticking to it. The one thing I regret about my WW experience…

The world needs creepers, too. :-D

I love Noosa, which is totally not low in fat, but it's downright delicious. The Lemon one has lemon curd in it. I like it with raspberries.

Au contraire, mon frere. Looking from the outside in to the earth, one can clearly see that it's round. It only appears flat when you are in the midwest.
-
You seriously aren't comparing your internet ramblings to great philosophers and scientists who proposed the world was round, thereby risking angering rulers and churches and risking death? For reals? You aren't being persecuted, you are being debated - and every time you get bested, you whip some new argument out of your…

There are lots of people who prefer to look at their total weekly calories, rather than a day-by-day approach, and they have plenty of success with that. I think you will be OK. If you're still concerned, maybe try to balance it a little bit with some added exercise - swimming is a great independence day activity and burns…

You look fantastic! Great work!

Fantastic work! You can really tell the difference. How are you feeling?
-
Well done! What an inspiration you are. That new suit looks fantastic on you!

My goal is 155-160, and more muscular than I've been before. 155 is the lowest weight I've been at as an adult, and I feel like I look good at that weight.

For me, right now, it's the pool. Cardio, light resistance, and the support of the water to limit impact on my knees.

Wow Brian, what an inspiring story! Way to go! I wish you all the best with your marathon, and with your friend. What a wonderful coincidence for the two of you to have found one another! <3

Cardboard, styrofoam packing peanuts, and sunlight. I can barely walk, and my vision is starting to fade away, but I lost 6 lbs. :-) Your ticker says you lost 26 lbs already. What did you eat to lose that?

From what I've read about 30DS, lots of people struggle seriously in their first several days. Getting through 3/4 of it is great! It's more than I've dared attempt, though the DVD has been here next to my TV for months. Wish I had advice on the soreness, though I do like the suggestion to do it every other day. Could you…
