I have chocolate/candy pretty much everyday and I eat foods I make on Christmas/thanksgiving quite often, too, especially now that it's football season. I find that foods lose their "specialness" and they're not that big of a deal. I think I used to get into the mindset that I wouldn't be able to eat those holiday foods…

Oh as for the salt I have green olives w/pimentos or banana peppers in my salads

I like eating a big salad and/or an apple before I have my Reese's minis (2-4 of them). I usually still want chocolate but once I've eaten something I feel like I'm not going to down an entire bag.

Frappuchinos (love em but wayyy too many cals for a freaking drink)

Eating less/1400-1500 calories. Throughout my life (and the "wonderful" ups and downs of my weight), I've had the most success by simply counting my calories and ensuring I stay at/below a certain # (usually around 1500) I've tried to get pumped about excercise but I usually end up quitting just about any excersize regime…

I don't log coffee, tea, Splenda, hot sauce, seasonings, gum, mints, dill pickles, onion, garlic, mustard, ketchup, diet/low-cal drinks (as long as they're under 30cals), or lemon/lime. As long as they're used sparingly, which is a grey area and completely up to my own definition. I'm not going to beat myself up over being…

I can't do green smoothies. My taste buds detect the kale/spinach and they make me gag. I like making big bowls of fruit salads to use throughout the week (with pineapple, kiwi, apples, mango, grapes, oranges, and berries). It's not raw but homemade sushi is amazing. I stick to nori, sushi rice, and cucumber with a little…

#1 Damn that's a lot of beer #2 try gin/vodka w/diet tonic and lime juice. Or a really dark beer (perfect for sipping on and dark beer makes me feel full so I'm not pounding them down)

Also recommend starting at a calorie count that provides maintenance (a steady weight) and not weight loss, at least in the beginning.

I'm a recovering bulimic/binge eater so feel free to add me. I find MFP helps me a lot. Don't recommend if you cycle between restricting/binging tho. Restricting + MFP = not a good combo. Trying to recover from the binging and eating healthy, just using MFP to record when you've eaten and what, to find anything that may be…

As a recovering binge eater, i had to identify my triggers. Being tired, lonely, or stressed, sitting in front of the telly, or restricting too much would set me up for a binge. ID your triggers then work out how to deal with them. Get out of the house, take a bath, read, paint, pick up a hobby (fishing/archery) - these…

How old are you? If the answer is something over 15, you need to take a step back and reevaluate your life (in ways unrelated to your weight). Seriously, tho.

I feel you. That's why I'm in OA (it's kind of a last resort and I'm not religious/spiritual by any means but it's helping. there are people in the groups that know how broken and hopeless I've felt and that helps me not feel so alone in my struggles).

What? That seems incredibly weird. Are you sure she's not covering up stress/emotional-eating or something else (like bulimia)? There very well might be something else going on there. she may be struggling with body image if she's not curvy in the bust/bum like all the girls plastered over the media. Talk to her. Don't…

Ha ha ha... No. Nope. No.. No. I've struggled with binge eating for 2 1/2 years so I would not recommend, from my own experiences.

I just stick to control top pantyhose. I feel like a sausage getting stuffed into a casing in shape wear. Not a pleasant feeling IMO.. I'd rather just wear clothes that flatter/fit my curves/rolls.

At my worst, I would go through bags of cereal... Like those giant-*kitten* bags of generic cereal (marshmallow mateys). With milk. And loaves (like entire loaves) of bread. Ugh. So glad I'm past that.

This is the best thread so far.
-
It's overpriced and I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it, but I get free packets of the vanilla Isagenix pro shake from my roommate (his mom buys him those and the protein powder because he needs a *kitten* million calories a day to stay alive.. Hes skinny and has a hard time putting on weight). It's ok. Just ok. Tastes…

So I don't have to buy so much fabric for cosplays lol. Also, to look hot in my cosplays and to keep up with my skinny, fit and active bf.

Y'all need to fall off your high horses. Lol What bugs me is when parents let their children run around like little psychopaths and climb on equipment and nearly run into people or knock weights over. There's a childcare center at our gym so there's no reason for them to allow their children to be unsupervised. It's…

Also, walk whenever you can. To school, around campus during breaks, downtown, out with friends. Get movin'!

I'm a college student, living off campus. My usual grocery list: - frozen mango - Seasonal fruit (mmm.. Strawberries are back down to reasonable prices!) - rice - Noodles - Ramen - Ice cream - Frozen veg (fav is green beans, which I add slivered almonds to) - Fresh veg (only if you'll eat them! I often forget unless…

I've started doing the same. I used to feel hungry all the time, but now that I'm eating healthier (more whole grains, fruits, and veggies and less processed stuff), I don't feel the urge to eat so much. I think it's the water/fiber filling me up. Plus, I'm definitely more aware of my eating, so I feel the need to choose…

Have fun! It's one (or two) days. Don't beat yourself up over it. Go have fun! Also, drink a lot of water and grab a bottle of pedialyte (Walgreens has a yummy store-brand mango one) to stick in the fridge, just in case you get a nasty hangover.

I'm always weary of restaurant calories. I ask for no oil/butter, replace my fries with veggies (though it seems to be challenging to the people in the kitchen to understand that French fries aren't veggies, since I've still been given fries many times, esp at Applebee's/Chili's). The best thing I've learned works wonders…

Don't waste your money. I tried some that my friend had and it was disgusting (especially the fauxnut butter)

Probably not go to the gym, but I'd spend the day out and about. This year I'm going to Vegas for my 21st-redo 23rd birthday, so there will be a lot of walking/sight-seeing.

I struggle with portions and not binging. I don't want to go back to cutting foods completely out of my diet (hello, binge trigger), but sometimes it's hard to just eat a little bit of something (especially chocolate/sweets or chips). I'm getting better at it. What is helping is not getting mad at myself and discouraged…

Depression (so much guilt, after a terrible accident), feeling a loss of control over what was happening in my life. I was in a very bad place, mentally, and I tried getting help. I felt so defeated when the doctors/psychiatrists/psychologists couldn't help me find the root of my problems and instead just pushed pills at…
