  • You all have been such an inspiration to me. THANK YOU to Vic for hosting, motivating and reporting this challenge. Having some trouble with the pics, so here is the link:http://imgur.com/a/vHhrx Pic 1 - First started MFP Pic 2 - Start of Meat me at the Beach Challenge Pic 3 - Final week of challenge. • 5'4", 30, no kids, started over 200 but I'm at 183 now. The best advice I can give: 1. Be honest. When you have a bad day, log all that crap that you ate. If you ate 25 M&Ms but only logged 5, you're only cheating yourself. 2. MOVE!!!! Walk, try C25K, bike, swim, something. Switch it up every once in a while. 3. Look at…
  • I will eat if I'm hungry, but I usually don't eat them all back. I find that I'm more hungry on days that I don't burn too many calories. Monday - Boot Camp - 869 Tuesday - Walk DVD (3miles) - 473 My first day of booty camp kicked my booty so I'm glad I could at least do something with all the aches!!! Wednesday - Boot…
  • Is it weird that I'm more hungry (and usually end up eating more) on days that I don't exercise (or burn as many calories). It's ok if I'm a freak, you guys can tell me.
  • He works with my brother - oh lordy was that a fun few months when we started dating! There's nothing like big brother giving the guy you're with "death looks"
  • I'm at 1342 as of this morning and I think I'll have to add more when work is over. Been a stressful day!!!
  • You've accomplished so much!!! Awesome job. PS - I love the dress!!!
  • You are so incredibly wonderful!!! :flowerforyou: Can't wait to see the pics!!
  • Great job, you guys!!!! So cool that you were able to incorporate the fam in on your journey! I'm trying to do that too. I'm a venter. When I have a bad day, I vent. My bf is not. I'm trying to talk him into a yogalities class this fall (yeah, good luck with that), or maybe just go for more walks after work. I changed up…
  • Just what I needed to end summer and start fall! This one will be a doosey, but I burned around 800 at boot camp this morning, so I'm well on my way. Let the games begin! :drinker:
  • Many many many thanks for this challenge!!! It kept me motivated all through the summer!!! Current Weight (As of today): 196.8 Challenge Goal Weight (for Sept. 1st): 175 Weight Category: Reduce 6/9: **start of challenge** 196.8 6/16: 193.6 6/23: 192.4 6/30: 192.4 7/7: <<<mini goal weight 188>>> 191.8 7/14: 188.6 7/21:…
  • It's Friday!!! Woooooooo! How are you guys doing with your challenges? I'll have to say that eating clean has made me feel a lot better and have more energy. I got so sick yesterday when I had that Panera soup (I knew I shouldn't have had it, but, you know how that goes!!!!) I think it was my body being mad at me that I…
  • It's been a week!!! Ugh! I stress eat (a shock, I know!). Correction - I used to stress eat!!! I've actually found myself not wanting to eat when I'm stressed now. I'm going to try to add variety to my workouts for the rest of the week. I woke up this morning and just didn't want to workout. That hasn't happened in a…
  • I like this challenge!!! Count me in! Do we have to weigh in on Monday or could we use our normal weigh in day? I'm starting a 6 week boot camp on the 29th that is sure to kick my butt - this challenge is just the motivation I need to work it! The Bridge to 10K program should help too!
  • I've never had the problem with my girls- my issue is all the junk I have in my trunk! If you run, get a really supportive bra. Also, take a look at the C25K program. I think you start with running / walking 1 minute intervals. Just remember that NO ONE is looking or judging you when you run/trot/jog/whatever you call it.…
  • Good morning, my lovely challengers!!! One day under our belts (if you wear a belt, if not, I have no alternative saying for you  ) Took a nice "leisurely" walk with the bf and doggy last night before the slaughtering of the Bears. Ugh. The man's legs are twice as long as mine, so as I'm huffing and puffing to try…
  • Jay Cutler is useless and makes me sick (and want to drink)!!!! UGH!!! Super Bowl = Redskins and whoever is going to lose the Super Bowl (yes, I have followed Sexy Rexy since he was stripped away from me and my team). BEARS!!!
  • Good morning to you all! YAY - I'm loving what I'm seeing here. Great goals, all!! I start my boot camp (6am, 3 days a week for 6 weeks) next Monday (which is also the first day of school, lol!!! omg!!). I'm thinking I'm going to have to push my body this week in order to get ready for the shock that it's going to get next…
  • The best parts about the 30DS are the circuits and levels. Yes, the first few days of each level suck, but that's because you probably haven't used those muscles in forever. But, if you stick with it, it gets easier. Just as it gets easier, boom! you move to the next level! I tried P90X three times now and just can't get…
  • We had a random trip to McDonalds today too! I saw that Rolo McFlurry and reeeeeeeeeally wanted it....like really!! But, I knew I'd be having a high cal/fat/carb/everything dinner, so I had to force myself into a small wild berry smoothie. That was way too high in calories for a small too. Look at it this way, you were on…
  • I've been seeing how good you all are doing with your logging, eating and exercising!!! Great job! So, week 3 has come to an end. I have to admit, I didn't pick a food group to monitor. I know that all three are important and I tried to stay as close to the goal as possible for each. I think it's important to get a balance…
  • Good Sunday morning to you all. Didn't go down, but didn't go up either! Current Weight (As of today): 196.8 Challenge Goal Weight (for Sept. 1st): 175 Weight Category: Reduce 6/9: **start of challenge** 196.8 6/16: 193.6 6/23: 192.4 6/30: 192.4 7/7: <<<mini goal weight 188>>> 191.8 7/14: 188.6 7/21: 188.6 7/28: 187.2 8/4:…
  • Hold the phone!!!! Does that say I'm the biggest loser in my group this week??? YAY!!!! Can't wait to weigh in tomorrow! I can't believe that summer is almost over! I'm looking forward to starting a boot camp in the next two weeks. In the next few weeks, I'm going to work hard to meet my mini goal so I can go and get my…
  • OK, so I'm at 8106 steps as of right now. Ohhhhh, I'm guessing I'll be at at least 12,000 before the day ends. OMG I'm tired!!! It's been really hard for me to pick one thing (fat, carb, protein) to focus on this week. I"m hitting the goals on different things, which I'm not complaning about, but I feel like I should be…
  • Tried P90X Kenpo yesterday and hated all 15 minutes I did of it - hate that Tony Horton, I'd rather have Jillian yelling at me! My protien/carbs/fat are all over the place but I've hit the goal for carbs on Monday and fat yesterday - NOT really what the goal for this week is calling for, but at least it's progress! Laz -…
  • Thank you for posting awesome (not craptacular) pics!!! You are truly an inspiration - a healthy, beautiful inspiration!! :flowerforyou:
  • "Healthy" fats?!?!? Who knew??? I'm going to agree with everyone and say that my healthy fats are nuts and oils. Not a fan of avocado (unless it's in a not-so-good-fat guac). I like Newman's olive oil and vinegar salad dressing.
  • I was stuck for two weeks at a time until I upped my calories to 1300. I've done a better job of eating my calories back too. I think if you're training, you should up your calories a bit - I'm sure you're body needs more fuel now that you're working it more. Congrats on making the committment to a marathon!
  • Awesome - Yes!!! You can so see it in your face! Glad to be with you on your journey!! Keep up the great work!
