I had some Strawberry last week that was the same way - thin and very tangy. My three year old was eating the same time as me and said it was biting him! We had both probably eaten a few bites and did not get sick at all. I figured it had gone bad at the store...

You look wonderful! Hair and outfit are awesome, and the weight loss is amazing!

If it has been going well so far I say just stick with it slowly increasing distance as you go along. I have had surgery on one of my knees (kneecap dislocation issues) and thought for sure I'd be unable to run very much. What do you know? I've run for over a year straight now with multiple half marathons in the books. My…

I don't know about Body Revolution but I'm currently doing insanity. I will say, I do think there needs to be a fair bit of fitness before starting insanity. Yes, you can modify moves, but at least to me, when you have to modify most everything and take tons of extra breaks you are not really doing the program anymore. 30…

Amazing!

I'd check out Hal Higdon - several different plans depending on your goals. I've done intermediate before and this go round I'm sticking with novice 1 for the most part (I'm building to 12 instead of just 10 for long runs). Novice 1 will allow you to finish and as you progress the other plans are more for improving your…

I think the difference in advice comes from "racing" vs "finishing". I would agree that with your running base you could add a couple of longer runs 10 or 11 miles for a couple of weeks and then be able to complete a half marathon. To race it then you start needing more mileage. Hal Higdon's novice plan maxes out with a…

Enjoy every minute of it! We were there for three years and I miss it every day. The only place I cried while we were leaving and we've lived many, many places. Honestly, it is not for everyone and there were certainly people who couldn't wait to get orders out of there. Even if you feel that way at times, it is really a…

You not be effected by no running for 5 days before the race, at least not in any negative way. The only way it is going to effect you is, (hopefully) allowing your hamstring to heal so you can race hard on race day. Hope you have a fabulous race day!

I think if you have done 30 Day Shred, it will be a great next step. As the previous posters said, you can modify moves if needed or take extra breaks. I do thing there needs to be a certain amount of fitness to do insanity and have it make sense but if you did Jillian you are there. Good luck!

If it is just making noises without pain I wouldn't worry about it to much. I've had surgery on one knee but my other knee is all kind of loud doing squats, etc. Doesn't hurt though and I was told at pt (for another issue) that unless it hurt it was fine.

Hal Higdon has great 12 week training plans for half marathon. If you are currently running 5ks you will be in perfect shape to start the program and finish a half marathon in 12 weeks time. Good luck!

Another chiming in to say you are not alone! I'm always really red in the face when I exercise. It is embarrassing at times but I've pretty much gotten over it. Helps that when I picked up running my long run partner is fair and goes red in the face too! Throughout the years I've had people ask me if I am ok after/during a…

I get the same problem and body glide works for me. Still may have some stinging from chaffing in the shower but it is not visible now.

I would get it checked out! I have post tibial tendonitis that hurts in the same area but it rarely hurts while I'm just sitting still.

I've had knee pain for the last five years after a dislocation and surgery. Even after multiple times in pt and continued strength training my leg with the bad knee is just way weaker. I would also advise going back to physical therapy. As the other poster stated it should really help a lot to strengthen the correct…

I screwed up and didn't post for a couple of last weeks... 10/06 5miles, 10/7 10 miles, 10/9 4 miles, 10/10 3 miles Total MTD: 35.5

I'll join for the first time! Might as well go big for 100!

I would try to swim. If you need to you could even drag that leg if kicking was still hurting your knee. Knees are a pain!

We are military so have lived in a few states now and it is very interesting to me how much the school lunches vary. I guess I just always thought they were more or less the same. In VA I was quite pleased with the elementary choices each day. There was a wide variety including a vegetarian choice each day. Here in OH it…

If you type in breastfeeding in the food search bar it will give you quite a few options. Choose whichever suits you best, nursing exclusively, nursing older child etc. and it will allow extra calories into your day.

I weaned my 14 month old two weeks ago but I was adding in extra 300 calories a day for him that I now took away. I will say that when I weaned my other two boys I did for sure notice that I gained weight after weaning because I didn't adjust my eating and I assume was burning less calories. Not what you want to hear, i…

I just weaned my 14 month old this week but had been nursing before then. Since he was older I had used the option for nursing an older baby that added in 300 calories per day. Worked great!
