I would def start with C25K...either on the treadmill or outside. I hated running in the past. I started with that this time last year and in Sept I ran my 1st half marathon!! You can find the program on the computer, but the easiest way to follow it is with the mobile app. Works wonders!!

My Dr. started me on melatonin to help me sleep, and I was up and wide awake at 3am everyday. Sad to say, that's the melatonin doing that..... Sometimes taking Magnesium with the melatonin can help you body process it more efficiently, but unfortunately melatonin has that effect on most people... I'm not sure how old your…

I love Insanity, and have def had that swollen feeling...especially in my calves. This is my second time doing the program. To ward off soreness and swelling this time I have been walking or jogging at least 1-2 miles after I finish each workout, at least everyother day. The walking helps release any fluid build up, and…

Anything can be hard on your body, especially if it's not done the right way. My husband had surgery on BOTH knees when he was younger and has struggled with knee pain ever since. He took up running after we signed upand completed a mudrun last July. He's addicted now, 35lbs lighter. and his knee pain is just a memory. I…

I prefer outdoors as well, but just for the boredom factor. Because of weather constraints I actually run more on the TM and then on the weekends take it outside. I can always go further when I'm outside. If you're interested in tracking yourself outside to see how far you are running, and to check your pace, I recommend…

It's not listed, but by looking at your foods it seems like you eat alot of sugar. Even though it's coming from fruit, it's still seems high. I know when my sister was on the verge of having gestational diabetes, her doctors told her she should not being eating bananas or oranges....they are very high in sugar.

I wear a HRM and I burn around 900+ cals when I jog 4.5 miles. My husband burns around 1100... It may seem high, but it's supposed to be accurate. Make sure all your info (height, weight, etc) is put into it..

I've heard they don't last very long if you don't eat them in one day. Like they soften back up after they sit. Someone told me to dehydrate them and they'll stay crispy. Either use an actual dehydrater or bake in the oven at lowest temp with the door cracked open for like 8hrs. Worth a try.

I LOVE Zumba...so much fun. You can do the moves at your own pace, yet still have a great workout and walk away soaking wet with sweat! Half of the time I'm laughing at myself bc I can only imagine what I must look like to anyone who can see inside my living room...lol.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm struggling big time with the weather being so crazy, and life just being so busy. I am trying to pick myself back up and get back to my routine but it is sooo hard. I am a teacher and it is so easy to eat right and work out during the summer for me. Once school starts I feel like I work…

bump I love JD2 myself, and have heard nothing but great things about JD3. Most people are saying it is even better than 2. I'm curious to hear what everyone has to say as well...

Make sure you always eat breakfast. Skipping breakfast is reason alone for it to slow down... Frequent, small meals througout the day. they say you shouldn't go more than 3 hrs between meals. All of that mixed with exercise should keep your metabolism burning!!

I used C25K to help me train for a mudrun that I did in July. I loved it. Some days were tough. I preferred to run more often during the week, though. I think you need to run more than 3 days a week to truly benefit. You can repeat days or weeks if you need to. Overall it helped me. I only completed week 7(found the app…

Do you exercise at all? I know you say you have no energy at, but when you start exercising you gain loads of energy. Whenever I fall off the wagon I feel the same way. No energy, can't imagine walking down the block let alone doing any real exercise. But it never fails. After a few days of doing some type of exercise I'm…

I have to say I love my eggwhite omelet. 3 eggwhites, spinach and mozz cheese. Comes out to about 120 cals. Switch the mozz for feta cheese and it's only 99 cals! Sometimes I'll add salsa on top. YUM......
