Hi Mindy, nice topic. When I first started I would look at others diaries but no longer do as its hard to make a comment on someone else's food choices. I also was seeing some people eating way too little calories which I don't agree with. I have an open diary but removed it from my news feed as I plan my meals ahead so am…

Oh yes I love the app. I just have an iPod touch so I'm not always connected to wifi but because I plan my meals and snacks ahead I'm always shuffling them about and it keeps me logging in everyday (just done 185 days straight today).

I'm down 1.3lbs this week, not great but I've done 3 weight training sessions this week along with cardio so not too bad. I'm gonna try and give myself a push for the end of the month to at least get a total of 8lbs off. SW - 200.8 lbs (Sunday Jan 1) Week 1 - 198.2 lbs (Sunday Jan 8 ) Week 2 - 196.8 lbs (Sunday Jan 15)…

Hey, you can add me if you like. I'm from West London and I've lost 48lbs so far and want to lose about another 40, maybe more but I'll decide as I'm going along whether it suits me as I've never been thin.

Yes but just over the stove or ciggy lighter. But this was when I was younger, not any time recently.

This is my 4th time in this challenge and its really just about a target to aim for. Theres no winner just a place for MFP users to challenge themselves and weigh in each week with others. My previous 3 times I've lost 8-9 lbs a month, the 10 gives me something to aim for. If I had less to lose I would join one other…

I'm 5'7", 200lbs and my neck is 14.5". I notice that my neck, collarbone and wrists are the most noticeable places to myself where I have lost weight.

Not bad for the month. This month I hope to do the same or more and that would mean 2 things for me being under 200 and out of the obese BMI range. SW - 209 lbs (Thursday Dec 1) Week 1 - 207.9 lbs (Thursday Dec 8 ) Week 2 - 205.5 lbs (Thursday Dec 15) Week 3 - 203 lbs (Thursday Dec 22) Week 4 - 202 lbs (Thursday Dec 29)…

So many but the two that sticks the most was from my mum when I was about 8 or 9 who said I looked disgusting and I was going to explode. The other one was from my dad a few years a go, who has never been apart of my regular life and 1 year after last seeing me told me (as I'm a chef) not to eat the customers food.

Down 1lb this week but this was done since last Friday as I gained 1lb from over indulging on Christmas day and not enough exercise :grumble: . I'm so lucky I didn't gain more as I ate sooo much. I'll see if I can lose something by Sunday. SW - 209 lbs (Thursday Dec 1) Week 1 - 207.9 lbs (Thursday Dec 8 ) Week 2 - 205.5…

I have a trusted pair of Reebok DMX Foam, I got them 2007 but only properly started wearing them this year when I started my regimen. I have size 9 (UK) feet so for me to get a good pair of shoes without costing the Earth is great and they are so comfortable, like they were made for me. I have just brought a pair of Asics…

I get up and do something. If that don't work I'll either eat some fruit or something small.

2.5lbs down this week. So its the final countdown of 3 for me until I get to onderland. I'm going to try and put do some big burns so by Jan 1st I will be there and start next year halfway in my journey. Mine ultimately includes me getting to my goal weight which should take about 6 months then when I feel good enough to wear a swimsuit I'll learn to swim or if not take up adult gymnastics (I've always wanted to do backflip).

Oh! I'm a year out. :ohwell: My weight plan was organised to be achieved by my 26th birthday on July 1st 2012. I've given myself a plan in 11 months from August '11 to my bday to loose 40kg (app.90lbs) and so far I'm about 2 weeks behind schedule (almost 5 months and close to 1/2 of my weight loss goal gone). For me it…

That is such a differnce for only 10lbs lost. You look great you really do but really only 10? I've lost 35 and my difference isn't as much as yours and I'm only 3.5" taller.

I just recently had to do a college report on body composition and the basic conclusion is nothing except cadaver dissection can be accurate. Those online calculators are based on BMI and cannot workout how much of you is fat, water, bone, muscle etc. as these differs sig. from person to person, Calipers require rigorous…

I've always been overweight since before I was 2. But two of the main reasons I became obese by 20 was 1. I became a chef and had tasty food around me all day long. And 2. I had disposable money that I never did have ever growing up as a kid so I could buy much more food that wasn't neccessarily 'basic commodities'.

What a strange question your doctor asked you! What does that got to do with your physical health? On another note, I am so jealous you don't ever have to comb your hair. Mine would all tangle up if I didn't.

This is really true. I'm having homemade steak beef burgers today and the mfp has no info on the Iron. Find an online article that tells you about good sources and then you decide whether you need to eat more as if you end up taking too much thats not good as well.
