That's just your shape. You can only get into the ring with mother nature so much, it's like anything else. Weight loss and toning up is good, but there are limitations as with everything. I plan on lifting when I get older and want to do less cardio-plyometric stuff.

I hate 30 minute workouts because I like to be "in the zone". Having said that, to maximize a burn I'd just go hard....I abbreviated 2 hr workouts to 60 minutes. I'd just go harder. That's it. I hate short workouts because after I'm done and showered, it takes me at least an hour to get my hair did.

What I do is marathon exercise that day and then just go for it. But I still count everything. I managed to have lasagna, sausage, meatballs, and cheesecake at my uncle's birthday but I ran 4 miles and did an hour of circuit training before I indulged.

I lost a decent amount of weight combining NMTZ and running, and then I replaced NMTZ with JMBR.

Thank God. I do log pretty accurately but I do eat back a significant portion of my calories. However, I usually do conservative calorie burn estimates. I could always be more exacting when logging, but I do think the issue is the "perfect storm" of TOM and sodium. Thank you all so much for your responses!

Thanks....I can't believe it went up 5 pounds....has this ever happened so drastically, with a subsequent drop after getting your period? I'm trying to get down to 110, so to go from 120 to 127 in a week or two while working hard and logging is quite disheartening.

Genetic. It's just where the weight sits. If you get into the ring with Mother Nature on this one, you will start to go crazy so you need to accept your basic shape. It all goes back to the myth of "spot reducing".
