Wow, very helpful. Thanks. This is going to take a major mind-shift for me, but I will give it a shot by increasing my nut butters, dairy, and coconut oil.

115 to 105 is 10 pounds. Or about 10% of my body weight. It will make a difference to me. Especially if I can eat healthier and drop a few pounds.

I am only 5' 2". I was at 108 for most of the last year. I would be happy with 105. I am limiting carbs for several reasons. My son was diagnosed with severe food allergies a few years ago. He can't have gluten, eggs, corn, eggplant. So the household is generally gluten free because it is hard for him to have it in the…

Kristie, Could you give me an example meal for these percentages?

I am a vegetarian. I have tried to incorporate meat into my diet, but it just doesn't make me feel well. I will eat fish and eggs. My food diary is open now. Constructive comments would be great.

I used to be 5' 2" and am shriking fast. Goal weight is 99, but realistically will do fine with 105.

Wow, i never knew that bananas were a carb! I just read some information on the glycemic index which explains carbs differently. I am still a bit foggy, but will switch out some fruits for veggies and try to figure out how to add protein with no meat.

Here is an example of what can happen even when you are doing it right. Not for the squeamish. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJXESL5VK48

Horrendous! Those coaches should be forced to carry around 100 pound weights in each hands for the next millennium. They are going to really injure someone.

Me too! December 25th - the day everybody celebrates my (and your) birthdays!

That sounded tiny to me so I measured my wrist: 5.5" Funny, I feel allot bigger. My goal is 99-102. I am 5'2" ish (on my way down in height  ). My ultimate goal is to reduce the size of my arms which are 11", which compared to my wrists seems huge. I also want that elusive flatter stomach.

Start small. Drink one glass of water a day, work up to one a meal. I get tired of water as well but can't get enough of crushed ice. I could crew cups of it every day - that may lead to some teeth problems down the road, but I will cross that bridge later. Log one meal a day, work up to three meals, then everything Focus…

Shredded wheat with greek yogurt and fruit. or Egg white with 2 slices Morningstar fake soy bacon. or Cottage cheese and carrots.

Pink, Make sure you are getting enough essential fats in your diet. I wasn't sure from your post if you were eating the olive oil or putting it on your face. My son has really super-dry skin and he eats 1 tsp olive every evening and it seems to help. On another note. How tall are you? From your photo, you look very…

After you get your waterproof tunes, here is a page to get your daily workouts. Lots of variety to help speed you on your way. http://www.swimfastmasters.com/category/workouts

I swim with a masters team, the workouts are varied, it is coached, if there is no one faster than me in my lane to chase, then I lead the lane and am chased, and there is always something to tweak on my stroke to get faster. Not to mention trying not to quit through the pain, that takes allot of thinking and talking to…

5' 2" and dream goal is 99. Realistic goal is 105. Spent most of my post-college life between 105-110, although I was 95-99 for many years when I worked as a backcountry ranger.

Thanks. I am trying to underestimate my exercise intensity. Swimming on a masters team is very intense. I swam 4000 meters Saturday, breathing hard the whole time, heart rate up for 1 hr 45 minutes, and could barely lift my arms afterward. Last Sunday I skied in the backcountry, carrying a 35 pound pack, and went uphill…

I was wondering if you could help me understand why it is important to be consistent? Don't the calories just average out in the end?

I am 5'2" looking to get toned. Started last year, lost my job, spent 8 months in the duldrums, still no job, but back at trying to be fit. Pilates, swimming and skiing for the last 3 weeks and I already feel better.

My son a chunk-o until he started walking at 14 months. He gained no weight for the next 6 months but grew like a weed. Ever since, he has been lean and strong. He is now 9 and around 4' 8" and 68ish pounds with an 8-pack which he is very proud of. He gets tons of exercise (ski, swim, play, karate) and we eats very…

Here are typical things I buy. We cook 95% from scratch. Make things ahead of time and pre-package to freeze or take along. I try for a protein, essential fat and some fiber at every meal. eggs (hardboil for a quick snack) dried figs and apricots pistachios, almonds, pecans, walnuts beans and rice apples, bananas, mango…

The Biggest Loser Trainer Jillian Michaels' 20-Minute Workout Routine: http://www.shape.com/lifestyle/entertainment-and-celebrities/cover-models/the-biggest-loser-trainer-jillian-michaels-20-m I was surprised since I can telemark ski for an entire day with not close to this much pain. I also ran 3/4 mile (I destroyed my…
