Good for you!!!! You take that diabetes captive and get rid of it!

Good for you. GET HEALTHY!!!

Add more protein. Whey protein powder is a great way. Try to find one with 3 carbs or less per serving, but 7 carbs per serving isn't bad either. Try that protein powder in some water or unsweetened almond milk and wait half an hour or so (especially within 45 minutes of going to the gym to feed your muscles). If you're…

Oh, and PLEASE do not take T7OMFD's advice. That's vulgar and will not solve anything.

Do not let yourself be defined by the numbers on the scale or by how you look (easier said than done, I know). You have value and worth just because you are you. God created you and gave you life; that automatically gives you value and worth. Maybe try to focus on loving yourself and being the best you that you can be, not…

You SHOULD NOT be paying his allimony!!! Sounds like he is very controlling and may be using you. He sounds like trouble. Run far away from him.

Eeek, so frustrating! I"m sorry! Hopefully the doctor can give some advice and the blood work can give you some answers. Hang in there! :)

Keep it up!!

I would suggest adding a little protein to your snacks and meals. e.g. Instead of a banana, make a banana smoothie (1 banana, 1 cup skim milk, 1 Tbsp cocoa powder, and 1 packet splenda or stevia: 205 calories!) or an egg with your toast, or a cheese stick with your apple. Other snacks that are pretty filling: ultra slim…

Thanks! I love the banana split idea, and I'll have to try out those apple crisp things. Yummy!

All I can say is I'm really sorry. That would be VERY frustrating, and your feelings of frustration are valid. What did your doctor say about it?

I don't have a ton in common with you (my kids are younger), but I'd love to friend you on here anyway! :) And, sadly, I have no tips on weight loss; otherwise, I wouldn't be on this site. :) Except that you have to keep at it, keep at it, keep at it. I eat terribly almost every weekend, but I just have to get back up and…

avocados, almonds, peanuts, olive oil, salmon: all are good fats

That IS a tough one! Maybe try, "No thanks, I'm just not hungry right now." Or maybe you could say, "Sure I'll take a brownie" and then only eat a fourth or half of it? Sometimes I think there is no way around people's judgmental looks. When you're being healthy and when you look good, others feel guilty and shamed when…

awwwww! What a reward!

I say let yourself have the ice cream, but measure out 1/2 cup like the serving size says and only let yourself eat that much. And make sure you save enough calories to be able to have that 1/2 cup guilt free. I think 1/2 cup of ice cream is only 170 calories. You can eat it with a baby spoon so it'll last longer.

Thanks for the ideas everyone! Now I can have some variety. :)

Oooh, the bagel with strawberry slices sounds yummy! I'll have to try that.

I have baby weight from 5 1/2 years ago to lose! :) Let's do the journey together!

How long have you been doing this? It might take 2-3 weeks for your body to get used to eating less. Also, vary what you're eating. Add protein, and fruits and veggies. I try to eat a protein with carbs (e.g. a cup of non-fat milk with a banana, or 1 Tbsp peanut butter with a slice of toast). That will make the carbs last…

Yoga is great for toning. Try Jillian Michaels' video "Yoga meltdown." it's a hybrid form of yoga that involves more movement than regular yoga. I also like Jillian Michaels' video "30 day shred." It's very hard if you do more than 1 workout (each workout is 20 minutes long). All you need are handweights. You can find both…

Also, I'm sorry! :( I know that is very frustrating when you try and the scale doesn't move. But don't give up..

Try beans. They're cheap and healthy. Black and kidney are my faves. Add kidney beans to a salad.
