I also used to try and record every little thing extra I ate on here and that just depressed me more. But, you know what. Sometimes it just feels good to fly off the handle…

I am glad I am not alone. It is so hard to diet, work all day, workout, clean a house, and cook a dinner. I can't imagine if kids were added…
  • Gosh, I am so sorry to hear about you cousins. I just lost my last grandmother a few months ago and I know how hard it is. If it makes you feel any better I ate all the time while I was at her house in NY for the funeral. Pizza, hotdogs, cake... all sorts of bad things. But, after that weekend I got back on my diet and…

  • Ok, maybe this is a stupid question. But, I was wondering that myself. Why is it that there is 2,000 on some things and then FDA is like 1800 or 1600. Which is right? Men and Women have different numbers or not? I am pretty confused on the whole thing. Help!

  • I totally agree with Melissa. 1200 calories for some people is way to low. A friend of mine and I are on MFP and we stay around 1400 cals a day plus exercise. I find that if I stay around 1200 it is way to low and i end up binge eating before i go to bed to get to 1400. I also think I red on WebMd that normal daily cals…

  • Ok, so my tummy has always been a problem area for me. I really want to focus on shaping it up. In fact, it is really the only area I feel I need to work on. I want to feel comfortable in a bikini. Does anyone have suggestions for me besides crunches? I do lots of crunches a day, around 200, but the results are so slow and…

  • Yeah, I am busy all day long too. Pry not as busy as you, but I have created several quick lunch ideas that keep me from eating not so good stuff. I don't know if you like hummus, but try a slice of whole wheat pita bread and some hummus ( i like athenos). It's quick, easy, and so good. If you have a George Forman, even if…
  • I get my @ Winne Dixe. It's by Athenos. They have several flavors. I get the Original. 2 tbsp. is 50 cal 3g fat, 5 carbs, 1 protein gram and so on. I already added it to MFP and I usually eat it with a whole grain pita. Makes for a great lunch. I am sure homemade is way better, but this stuff is great for an on the go gal!
  • It depends on how you are doing it. Are you eating all your calories, what are you eating, and how much exercise are you doing?
  • I love hummus. This is a really healthy recipie I found on www.eatbetteramerica.com. I haven't tried it, but it sounds good. The store bought ones are great 2. I get them all the time. • OK. I'm not a smoker, but I am a binge eater. I am bad about getting home and stuffing my face while I am cooking dinner. So, what I do to aviod this is space smaller meals throughout the day. I have about 6 to7 everyday. I still stay within my calories for the day, but space them out. I think that really helps me not to…
  • Try hummus and whole wheat pita bread. That is what I had today and it was soooo good. About 140 cals for the pita loaf and 50 cals for 2 tbsp. of humus.

  • I am not sure I understood it all, but that was very interesting. I don't think a lot of people think about it like that or that they even know how food breaks down in our bodies. Very good lesson for today. Thanks!
  • It sounds like your doing great!!!! But, I do agree with the others. Young males need more food than that. Try packing some fresh fruit or veggies with your for lunch.
