I want to drop at least five more pounds before the annual ID photos at work are taken. I can't even look at last year's; I was 35 pounds heavier and my face was a big circle on top of not-much-neck.

That's exactly what I just told my friend who lives a thousand miles away... "You know me; I'm socially distanced by choice".
-
I came back from a ten-day trip and my clothes all still fit comfortably... I was really afraid they wouldn't.
-
Mine is exercise-related: I absolutely HATE exercise, and I lost 30 pounds since the first of September with just changes to my eating habits. I'm going to aim to walk one mile every morning before work. Now that winter has backed off a bit, it should be do-able even for me.

Two more pounds and I'll have lost 20% of my starting (and highest) body weight.

I discovered that I can close my hand around my other wrist and touch my thumb and middle finger tips together. Works with the ring fingers too.
-
I used to fantasize about an exercise bike that would power my TV... if I stopped pedaling, I'd lose what I was watching. Yeah, I'm someone who needs that kind of motivation.
-
Three more pounds and I'll be at 145, just 5 pounds from goal weight.

I rarely go out to eat, but when I do go with a group of friends, I order what I want. I guess technically it's a cheat because I pay no attention to my calorie intake for that meal. I could order a nice salad... but I won't, when chicken pot pie or fettuccine Alfredo is calling my name. If we go out locally I'll try and…

I'm awful at Facebook. I've tried twice and failed to keep up... and I only have 14 friends! I only accepted requests from people I actually want to stay in touch with, but I still feel overwhelmed, as if I'll offend someone if I miss "liking" one of their photos. I haven't been on since May 2018, and I have photos from…

I went "in" a row of hooks on my bra.

That's wonderful! I did the most damage over the holidays with chocolate, and I find it's better for me not to eat any at all... I don't have enough control to stop.
-
It also depends a little bit on the type of potato. Regular Idaho russets freeze terribly in my experience... the texture is very grainy and unpleasant. I have better luck with Yukon Golds when I make a batch of beef or chicken stew to freeze.

I finally dipped into the 140's this weekend. If I can lose five more pounds in five weeks (before a major trip in late February) I will have lost 20% of my body weight.

I never tried freezing overnight oats... I'll have to give it a shot. I usually just make a small batch and get two meals out of it, keeping the second half in the fridge, but I could make bigger batches if it freezes well.

My BMI is now at the very bottom of "overweight", down from low-end obese at the beginning of September. One more downward tick and I'll be at the high end of normal.
-
I never had any luck with reducing BP by losing weight or cutting sodium, unfortunately. Mine's hereditary as well.

A long-sleeved shirt that made my arms feel like sausages in September now fits like it should.
-
This morning my weight was 150. Yay! Next mini-goal is to see a weight that begins with 14_.
-
Well, one thing was a comfort, anyway... I was 50 in 2012, so now at 58 I at least know what an achievable and realistic weight is for my age. I was 95 pounds in high school and wouldn't even TRY to regain that!

We had a WW group at work that I really liked, but I fell off the wagon when I had to go downtown at night to get to meetings, with a bunch of people I didn't know. WW did work for me, I'll say that. But these days MFP fits into my lifestyle a lot better. It's true, as 88olds says, that "there really is no finish line"...…

Had a death in the blended family this week, no problems until THAT side started doing what they do best, which is thinking up ways to make THEIR responsibilities MY problem, even while they sit there with the whole week off and I have to work. The NSV is that I did not turn to a huge plate of spaghetti and a bottle of…

This is excellent advice. I've done it myself when I hit one of those "I reeeealllyyy want some wine" weekends, and at least half the time seeing the logged calories before I've actually ingested them makes me change my mind. One glass does not do the trick for me; I'm committed to at least three if I have any at all.

I want to see myself back in the 140's before the end of this month. Should be do-able; four more pounds need to come off.

At this time of year I have to go almost every day to a building in our complex that doesn't have an elevator, and the office I need to reach is on the fourth floor. I HATE going there because I HATE the stairs... I wind up breathless and exhausted, and pause in the stairwell before running my errand because I can't even…

I'm a new Instant Pot user and am still getting used to it, but it cooks chicken even better than my slow-cooker did... nice and juicy. I do a couple of skinless breasts at a time and freeze some for later meals. I also used the slow-cook feature to whip up a batch of turkey chili, which also freezes well.

I get lazy and stop paying attention, and go back to what I call my "frat-boy diet" of pizza, burgers, and alcohol. This has happened several times after reaching my goal of around 140. This time, trying to come back down from an all-time high of 180, I try to remind myself how much easier it would be if this time I save…
