  • Thanks for the input. It's funny, I've been overweight/obese almost all of my adult life apart from a few occasions. I've never been all that bothered with my body image because I never thought I'd get to the point where I'd need to be bothered. But the motivation I've had from losing that weight is driving me to want to…
  • I've lost 79lbs today and am officially in the healthy BMI range.
  • My next mini goal... To get to a healthy BMI which I'm about 5lbs off. After that....I want to aim for the middle of healthy BMI
  • Nobody told me how much my libido would increase. I feel like a hormonal teenager again. 🤭
  • I officially fit into a UK size 14. This is monumental for me, coming down from a size 26. I've bought two pairs of jeans tonight that I thought it's something to aim towards, but tried them on tonight and they fit perfectly!
  • Looking in the mirror this morning and seeing that I again have collar bones.
  • I think walking is hugely underated. If school is close enough, walk her there and back everyday. I have a pet hate for mothers who jump in the car to bring their kids 10mins down the road. My mother walked me to school 35 mins away everyday. Try going for a walk with her after dinner every evening, it will give you both…

  • Hi, thanks. I have been to a couple of gyms in and around Northampton and Rushden but disliked the feel of them and it did feel very much like a chore. I've just started going to PureGym and I love it. It's got a more accepting feel to it. Plus the price is pretty good. Hikes and walks is a great way of getting out. I'm…
  • My advice would be to find a routine that suits you. I began going to the gym in early December. I didn't know what the hell I was doing. I've done lots of reading on line and have bought a fit bit tracker to keep on top of my workouts. My routine has changed since I started but that's down to the fact that I can last…
  • My resting heart rate is always under 60bpm, I'm clinically obese, however used to be very active so don't know if this has made a difference or the fact that I'm super laid back...Anyway here are my details. Resting heart rate 53-56bpm BP 130/72 Height: 5'3 Weight: 220 lbs Age: 31 Activity: mildly active. Gym 2-3 times a…
  • My last trip to the gym I changed things up a bit... I intentionally used the elliptical for 30mins to try to increase stamina and get through the giving up point. Then treadmill my usual mix up for 10 mins Plus weights after. It's difficult to know what to concentrate on for a good routine especially as I'm in the obese…
  • I have a fit bit one which I wear in my bra at work as i cannot wear anything below the elbows and a fitbit on my wrist that monitors my heart rate. I love both for different reasons. The one is compact and works well with my working life. The other I use at the gym to keep tabs on my work outs and heart rate. My partner…
  • Weightless initially and then work on fitness after getting and staying in the normal weight category.

  • Thanks everyone for the advice and positivity. Changing my mindset toward food and excercise is going to be tough but I ready. I have my partner on board too so that feels like half the battle won!
  • I eat mostly vegetarian food...Never really been a meat lover. Chicken makes me gag when you get a chewy bit, plus im never quite convinced its cooked properly. Pork and lamb, I just dont eat. Beef Id probably eat the most of but only due to making a beef stew from a recipe my mum makes! I was vegetarian for about 8 years…
  • I think sometimes she is TOO supportive! However saying that the last time we did it together I lost a good 50lbs! I often think that she can be a bad influence on me. All this week when I have beem off work Ive cooked healthily. I had to do two 12hr shifts in a row and each night Id get in and she has made two VERY…

  • We all make a few bad decisions... the thing is to pick yourself back up and not let it get you down. You seem like your in the right frame of mind though, If you are feeling hungry try go for lower calorie foods... fill up on fruit or salad. Stay strong!
