230lb 5'5" -------> need to lose 100lbs..but happy with 50lbs

I started at about 240 about 5 years ago and I'm your height. I am at about 150 today. You can do it. It might take a while but it is still so worth it. The biggest thing I can tell you is that if you stick to the program here, even with your ups and downs, even when you fail, you will eventually have success. 180 is totally achievable!0

I was 30 lbs heavier than you about a year and a half ago. 180 now! You can totally do it! Stay as consistent as possible and you'll be there in no time0

Started at 245 in November, down to 212 this morning. You can absolutely do this. Log everything you eat, preferably before you eat it, and stick to your calorie goal. Exercise will help but is not 100% required. Filling up on high-fiber veg will help control your appetite, but you can eat anything as long as you reduce the portions to hit your calorie goal. Don't worry, your stomach will shrink, surprisingly quickly. It's amazing how often someone here says, "I was eating twice as much as I needed, but now I'm fine with the reduced amount." I read a book last fall that said, "I love food, too, but when you've finished filling up your car's tank with gas, do you start pouring it into the back seat?" Stop when you've had enough. You'll eat again tomorrow. All the food isn't going to disappear if you don't eat it this instant, even if the primitive part of your brain fears famine for the village in the coming days.0

I'm 235 and I'll take what I can get. Very motivated this time because of a friend's wedding and because my husband is very fit and occasionally seems bothered by my lack of motivation but for the most part is loving and supportive. We both deserve better. Add me...more friends the merrier.0

I'm 5'9" and started the beginning of January at 254. I've already lost almost 14 pounds! I also need to lose about 100 pounds but am starting with 50. My initial goal is to lose that first 50 pounds by my 40th birthday in the middle of July. Feel free to add me!0

Feel free to add me. At my heaviest I was 250 lbs, which is a lot on my 5'7" frame. I'm down to 170 now want to get down to 150.0
