  • I'm proud of you and I don't even know you! Great Job!!! Your story brought tears to my eyes. I really want to do a mudder!
  • Great job Frogman! I am still fighting my way back after vacation and laziness. Worked on week 5 outside this week. (windy...) Three attempts that weren't too stellar but they were attempted all the same.
  • How is it going Frogman? We went to Jamaica Feb5th and when we got home had a death of a friend. Been reeling since. Have only ran once but did complete W5d2. Thought about going back to week 4 but tried it and made it. (It was difficult.) Have been kicking myself for not getting out on the beach. I was just too…

  • 6.5. I think that would definitely kill this 5'3" chick! Survived w4d2 today and it felt almost good! :0)

  • Just finished day 1 of week 4 using the "ease into 5k" app. Finally feel like I'm going to make it! Each increment up I have been worried about. Thought I was dying at 60 sec and 90 sec. Completed two 4 min runs and a 6 min tonight. Amazed! Getting my breathing down to a comfortable pattern has been the most difficult…
  • I finally did w4d1 tonight. Survived better than I expected. It seems possible now!

  • Day 3 of wk3. Went better. Still slow but I figured something out for breathing.....I count. Not the time or anything. I just count to a comfortable number, say 50, then start over and over till the 3 min or 90 secs is over. It took my mind off trying to breath and just let me breath. funny. but good. :0)

  • Hi everybody! I'm on w2d4 of r30 but this is the first time I saw your posts. Helloburger-I'm with you on the shoulder pain. I'm on d4 of w2. One more day then will move to w3 and hope for relief for my shoulders/rotator cuff. Taking the night off. And hopefully will feel better tomorrow.
  • I did make it through! I slowed my pace down to run the 3 min runs at 4.6 mph. Then upped my speed on the 90 sec runs to 5.1. (Week one and 2 I ran at 5-6 mph.) And I found it was easy to walk at 4 mph. ( I'm a shorty so that is a feat!) I am currently doing Jillian's Ripped in 30 also. I have to do the c25k first or my…
  • Shooting for 135. That would put me at a size 6 most likely maybe even 4.
  • My cows trust me to treat them well. And I do.
  • I am an animal lover and a omnivore. I raise cattle for meat and milk. I love my cows. LOVE my cows. (more than people some days .lol) I love their personalities. Their job is to feed people. My job is to give them the best care possible to make that happen. When I was younger I will admit it was hard for me to eat the…
  • Me too! I'll turn 40 in June. I wanted to be at goal by now but it has been painstakingly slow.... Good luck!
  • I love the jean comparison. You look great! Great job!!
  • WOW Great job!
  • I'm new. Hope you don't mind me barging in. This is probably my 4th attempt to get through the c25k. I usually fizzle on week 3 but I want to run. I want to be a runner!
  • Great job! WOW on the 6.5mph. I can't breathe or talk at 5.5 mph. :blushing: Did you end up using an app or following a written program? I just finished w2d1 (week 2 day1) last night. I'm trying to figure out a breathing pattern I am comfortable with. My lungs are not too beuno simply from lack of pushing them. This is my…
  • I just started last week using the "Ease into 5k" app for my ipod. I like it and it works with music from your own playlists.
  • Mine is the same way. I just look at it as success. There is no way I could go anywhere without a shower first though. So it limits my workout times to evenings which I do wish I could change. When I'm done with a workout I am drenched and beet red. Badge of accomplishment. Wear it with pride!
  • So glad I found this thread! I figured I wasn't the only one with lung/breathing questions. I started the "Ease into 5k" program this week. First week is 30sec, 45sec, 60sec, walk/run intervals repeated 3 times. This is my 4th or so attempt to do a c25k. I want to run. I want to be a runner. But my body seems to hate it!…
  • Jillian is giving me a waist back.....The first time I tried it I nearly died. :0) Just try it. Don't get discouraged. Do what you can. Everyday I saw improvements in my endurance. I didn't know how cardiovascularly challenged I was. ;0) I did my first time thru a few months ago and started a 2nd time before Christmas. I…
  • SASSY! Great job!
  • Take the picture at the same angle as your first picture and you will see the difference much more clearly! Keep it up!
  • Great job! we are in the same boat! 5'3 163lb. Race ya! :0) I'm going pretty darn slow. But keep chugging.
  • I definitely do better with music that keeps me going. I can't run over a minute and a half yet but I keep trying. Maybe I'll have to try Dire Straits! With my Ipod I'll pick a song I like and use the genius button to create a playlist with similar song beats. I do a 60 mile walk (20 miles x 3 days) each year and use the…
