I understand you didn't make this up so of course I won't hold it against you. But I'll debunk this theory right now as depending on what system of measurement you use, this number could be substantially different.

Good shoes are the answer to a lot of our problems with pain. Even if you are using a treadmill. I run on concrete personally but I had ran down my shoes (old shoes) in about 6 weeks. by then I was running 25 mins or so and they couldn't keep up. New shoes will often help out with foot and ankle pain as well as back pain.

All I need is one track. Telepopmusik's "Breathe"(King Bobo Extended mix.) This track is 50:35.

I would think doing it bare foot will make the shin splints worse.

You are going to have to treat yourself to a new LongHorns shirt when this is all done!
-
We need this in the states!!!

I'm on the scale everyday. Sometimes twice a day. But only officially weigh in Sunday mornings... Naked.
-
School districts often have 5K runs as well. Perhaps there is one near you that does.

I have the same app on my iphone. I'm on week 8. great stuff i tell you.

48 OZ DOWN!

I only have 3 cups in... Normally end at about 9 by the end of the work day.

I'll chime in with a confirmation yes.

I used to be able to shake my hand violently and it would fly off. Now, it doesn't fit at all. I have a 2nd smaller ring that always fit just fine but now that one can be shaken off my hand in about 5 seconds of shaking my hand back and forth.

lol, thats funny.

eh, I get her humor. I also understand why those who are insulted took offense to the post. You just have to be careful with these types of jokes.

+1 to c25k. I'm the opposite of what you said apparently. I hated/dreaded running but for whatever reason, I decided to jump into it and I'm on week 8 of c25k now. I think when I'm done with it, I'll start lifting weights.
-
LMAO. you know what. I just looked up and saw that. Everybody is free to point and laugh at me now.
-
I'll tell you what more fun. Lets guess where you work. I'm going to say either Outback or Red Robins. Or one of those places that serve the hamburger where it has 2 grilled cheese sanwhiches as its bun.

lol, banana in the pocket. I didn't even think about that. I normally would. Thanks everyone for the suggestions! Its crazy how some you may not think of some of the simplest things. I have to admit, I rarely ever eat before a work out because I always worried it'll slow me down. And I normally eat after all of my work…

I meant to say "Cal" in the thread title.

I call these people " Food Pushers." lol I try my best to avoid these situations. My wife used to be one of my dealers. She has finally started cooking more healthily. All others I just don't do it.

lol, this is a great post. You made me pull out my driver's liscence to see what weight I have on there. I still have 300lbs!!! I'm only 235 now! How awesome is that!

I have unfortunate news for you all. The Garmin 305 can not calculate calories based off of your heart rate. It primarily uses the GPS and the distance/speed that you have moved to calculate your calories burned. Go run on a tread mill, or a indoor track for that matter, your Forerunner will never calculate those calories…

I never ran before in my adult life. Never thought I would. I'm now on week 8 of c2k5. 25 mins jogging, no walking. If I could do it you certainly can!

I'm another who started off with a stationary bike and traded it in for a regular bike. I've been using my regular bike way more than i ever did the stationary bike. I actually just got clipless pedals this weekend. I don't think I would have made it this far without my bike.
