Hi everyone! Just joined this group today! Previous MFP user, achieved and MainStage goal weight for a few years…. Until 2-3 years ago, perimenopause, life, slacking… so I’m back this week, I actually started May 1st. This May I want to stick to my Makro/caloric goals and see what this journey nearly 10 years later looks…

I just restarted my MFP journey, I’d lost about 40 lbs in 2015-2016. Then we moved to another country, kids went through adolescent, covid, and perimenopause helped my lazy bum gain 30 back…. I’m done, I’m so depressed by my state of (un)health and I’m only 48. just started Ozempic (two days ago), so far a bit of nausea…

I’ve only had one shot but that day and day after I was so nauseous. I discovered making my own electrolyte water (salt, sugar and lemon juice) got rid of nausea and headache. maybe yours is coming from being dehydrated and also losing too fast?? Up your electrolytes and protein intake, hopefully that helps.

Similar here (about 50lbs to lose)! I was so scared of the side effects (still are). I Started two days ago, tho! I did get a headache and nausea after 6-7 hours post shot. The next day woke up exhausted and noticed that I also got winded easily. I upped my electrolytes and that got rid of nausea and headache but my body…

like everything, I found it to be a habit I needed to firm! Have the app visible on your phone, scale on your countertop, try your best to “guesstimate” on those foods you’re not sure how to calculate (bettter than nothing). It will take a little while to become habitual. When I first started, I probably went the first two…

I just started! I’d been trying to lose weight for about a year, calorie deficit, exercise, protein increase, and nothing… perimenopause isn’t helping. So doctor suggested I give Ozempic a try, started w my first shot last Wednesday! We’ll see…

Hi!! I am just starting over again! I have about 20-30 lbs to lose. I haven’t gotten in a scale in 2 years because I’m petrified to face the real number. But, I started again a few weeks ago. Signed up to a gym, started wearing my Apple Watch again, and logging my food (most days)! Short story, we moved to a new country 6…

I can’t believe it’s almost mid-September already! I’m in a funk. I had a good August, disciplined, motivated ... and now, I can’t get out of the gloomy stuck feeling. Which doesn’t help the weight loss journey!! Keep jumping back and forth between 151-153!! Tips on how to shake the blues?!

This week’s weather was pretty dreadful in The Netherlands... -actually most of the summer- BUT, the weekend and next weeks looks like it’ll be gorgeous! What they cal an Indian Summer! -I have got to research what that means!!! Yay to sunshine!!!
-
Aaaahhhhh I can’t get out of this funk, y’all!! I am doing my daily yoga... food.... meh, can’t say I’m being too disciplined. As much as I’m blocking it, it’s probably got to do with the fact that tomorrow marks my dad’s one year since he passed away! I keep floating between 151 and 153!!! Ideas on how to get over this…

@thelastnightingale So my boys went to pickup books on Monday. Had assembly on Tuesday. And started classes today. There are supposed tO be protocols for safety, like flow charts so kids don’t walk facing each other. But, not very encouraging. They’re back on full, every day, no masks mandatory, hard to impose a 1.5 mts…

Whew, everyone is keeping busy! Thinking of all my hurricane path friends and loved ones, stay safe! Seeing those traffic jams evacuating out of the I-10 and 59 in Houston definitely sets my PTSD off. We were in the area from Rita, Catrina all the way to Harvey. Never fun to be guessing how bad it will be, how long power…

Hi all, Busy week and TOM coupled with a bit more back pain (probably due to TOM cramps blagh). I’ve kept up my calorie intake goals. I’ve kept up my workout routines as planned and that makes me feel good! Weight has stayed between 152-153, again TOM and hopefully workout recovery. @thelastnightingale you’ve done some…
-
I’ve been all over the place busy this week! And TOM has kept me steady at 153.2 and 152.2 even though I’m eating at my calorie goal, exercising and not eating all my exercise calories back (usually have between 100-200 calories left from working out)! I’m fairly sure my body must also be repairing from starting functional…

Awesome job!!!! Keep up the great work!!!!

I agree with everyone else’s comments. Those would be my initial thoughts: 1. Accuracy in calorie counting (scale, measurement). 2. Eating back exercise calories. 3. Water retention. This one is a biggie for me, especially on days in which I do a long or tough workout. On those days I make sure I drink a bit more than my…

Yep. I started back in 2011 (earlier if I count Weigh Watchers) at 190lbs. Made it down to 143-145 4 years ago, moved to a new country, settled my teenage boys in their new environment, lost my dad, CoVid happened and my weight started creeping up. At first 149 “oh it’s still normal fluctuations, I’m sure it’ll be down…

I’m focusing on logging EVERY day and adding exercise/movement 6 days a week. This week is my usual water retention, 2-3lbs gain due to girlie time, so I’m giving doing something I’ve struggled with in the past: not obsess on the number on the scale this week and instead showing me kindness!

Nearly went over my calorie limit yesterday, tired from final exams from an online language class, I had decided to make yesterday my day off from exercising. But then I had a dinner (even though I kept it light), I got the antsies and jumped on the treadmill, “just a 15 min brisk walk”... turned i to a slow 30 min jog,…

I have a virtual class which lasts 4 hours (and then 2-3 hrs of homework). I get up during the 30 min breaks and squeeze in a 15-20min HIIT or yoga in there! Keeps me from eating mindlessly and gets me my activity points!
-
Gained 14lbs thanks to CoVid quarantine madness. Back pain has gotten me off my working out. I’m slowly getting back into it. My mini goal is to make it down to 149lbs, log every day, and continue to add bits of exercise.

44 yr old female Start weight: 158.2 Goal Weight: 145 10 Day goal: 2-3 lbs Round 122 — ⬇️ 5lbs 😀 08/15: 152.8 So excited to start my second round! Have been slowly increasing exercise and water intake! Hope my back cooperates! 08/16: As a rule I give myself sundays off from the scale! Rode my bike to downtown, met a new…

@carol7878 seeing your progress is an inspiration!!!! Great work!!!!

Ain’t that the truth! We get through the days in which we get those annoyed feelings, our health is worth it! I’ve had plenty of moments like those... and it got me 10lbs in less than 6 months. I had a great 10 days. Slowly getting back to a workout routine being vigilant of not injuring my back more. I had a Chinese…

I’ve been struggling with bad back pain for two years, it is debilitating. I had been maintaining my weight successfully regardless and then CoVid hit and I lost control! Well, no more. I started back on yoga (with physio’s permission), and also following some of the exercise routines from the premium MFP! You can do…
