I like to track averages due to my wild fluctuations. For the same reason, I like to weigh daily so I can see the lows from time to time. It gives me hope.
Round 123
Month/Day: Weight / Comment
08/15: 207.4
08/16: 207.8 / The last couple days are pop-ups from the last day of last round. I can’t imagine why. :-p What is so bad about two days in a row with big messy cheese burgers for lunch. Friday’s was at a high-end gourmet restaurant for a work meeting. Saturday’s was at a local yocal dive after a morning of fishing with a friend. Both were delicious. Then last night, dinner out with some friends. I guess I should be happy I am only this heavy.
Glad to be back at it again this round.

Ultimate Goal: 185 lbs., but realistically 15-18% bodyfat.

Medium range goal - I turn 60 in early October, so the goal is to be under 300. It would mean I've lost over 100 lbs. in just under a year AND first time under 300 since my late 40's.

Day/Weight/Comment
08/15 - 312.4 - My biggest drop is always from Thursday (my last meal @ 6PM) thru Saturday @ noon, when I have my next meal (yes, 42 hour fast). I am surprised how much I've dropped and it looks like I'll make my medium-range goal of being under 300 by early October. The difference is that I didn't put on as much weight after eating on Thursday. Of course, the lack of stress from job searching (I start on Monday) probably adds to lessening cortisol, too.
08/16 - 314.6 - Not bad. I had a really good food day yesterday, even if my first meal gave me a bloated feeling. Instead of using keto bread for my morning avocado base, I made a quickie keto bun. It toasted SO much better.

I'm in for round #123!
I've done this before, successfully; I know that it can be done. My challenge is ignoring a hurting body, and/or not getting up and moving-because *that* is more comfortable. I want ME back. Oh, and I also signed up for a virtual 5k today (to be completed in Sept) and I'm doing a *live* 5k in Dec. If I don't want to be thoroughly embarrassed, guess I'd better move my bum!
I’ve been struggling with bad back pain for two years, it is debilitating. I had been maintaining my weight successfully regardless and then CoVid hit and I lost control! Well, no more. I started back on yoga (with physio’s permission), and also following some of the exercise routines from the premium MFP!
You can do this!!!! The pain can bite our booties!

🌾🎍🌵🌴🌳🏖🎡⛱🌳🌴🌵🎍🌾
Looking forward:
I'm just too danged cussed to let this thing knock me back, and ruin all the effort I have put in to get here. I am stepping up my routine, and taking control. Sheltering in place means I can fully concentrate on getting in my exercise, and preparing healthy food.
August focus: improving stamina, strength, flexibility, which may impact the scale
Aims:
2020 Focus:Never give up! Never give in!- Stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals by keeping busy
Recent Back Story:2018 goal: get back down to 160 ✅JGM10D ~|~ Round 123 🔹Posting weight and comments each evening.
2019 goal: proceed down to 150 ✅ with 2 months to spare
2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 ✅ Working on it. Strength training has slowed progress, but that’s okay.
That's a WIN in my book!
2020
Focus: maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

I'm in! Thank you, @GrandmaJackie!
70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. Recovered from back surgery then hip surgery!! Got back to walking then I sprained my ankle. UGH! hurt! I was down for 6 weeks with the ankle.
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

One week down and so far so good, almost 5 lbs down. Today was the first day were I was hungry most of the day. My clothes are already feeling looser which is nice. I know the first week the loss is mostly water, but still nice to have immediate feedback.
Goals for these 10 days: no after dinner snacking, early to bed, strength training at least twice a week.

08/15: 286.6 / am going to fast until this evening as I have a heavy night out tonight. If the weather stays dry (doubtful right now) I'm going to my first karaoke in months outside. Im really looking forward to it. I've made the change from beer to white rum and diet coke so will save a lot of calories there, but expecting weight to jump up tomorrow due to water based on having a meal out.
08/16: 284.6 / had an amazing night last night, so good to be actually out out! Went to the resturant, didn't have a started because I wanted to save room for banoffee pie. Ate my steak, couldn't finish it, nearly cried when I realised I was not going to get my banoffee. Got my banoffee to go and had it to break my fast today 😊 16/8 is seriously helping me to reduce my appetite!
08/17: 283.8 / busy day today and a planned McDonald's. Most likely see a bit of a rise on scales in the morning thanks to fast food!

08/16–178.2 I am having such a hard time getting/keeping my head in the game. Hopefully I will be able to make some progress with my habits this round. If I do that, the weight loss always follows. I’m in a bit of a funk right now,so falling back to comfort foods has not been helpful.
08/17–177.6 Got in a nice long walk and made better choices. Baby steps.

08/15: 130.0 lbs -I have officially lost 30 lbs in 10 months! Dinner is calorie dense tonight, but this morning is my long run and my early eating is on par to keep me at calorie goal. Fingers crossed I only go up about .2 lbs
08/16: 130.6 lbs - I knew I would be up a little from dinner. already pre-planned Mon-Wed to ensure I'm back on track. And I have a make-up run tonight.
08/17: 131.8 lbs - not sure why the fluctuate up is so high... just need to be better

08/15 DNW. Camping this weekend. I haven't done a horrible job but I've definitely had a few things I wouldn't normally while trying to lose weight. It's ok, lake calories dont count 😁
08/16 198.8 That's ok! I knew it would go up a little, I'm just happy I'm still in Onederland. Back at it today. Happy sunday!
08/17 197.8 Down a little I got a compliment yesterday about losing weight. I'm going to use that as fuel to keep going! Happy Monday, hope you all have a great week!

08/15- Out of town on vacation. No weigh in. Back to reality tomorrow. 😢. Time to get back on track. I’ve been struggling this summer with weight loss and lack of motivation to be productive. All I do is go to work (healthcare) and then come home and crash on the couch all night.

Plans:
- Find workout routine that works (walk, bike, planks, yoga, swim, take advantage of retirement to be more active); target walking 100 miles in August
- Drink more water (target min 80 oz daily; start with 1 glass before coffee)
- Journal Food Daily (tracking with MFP since 12/28/2018; basically skipped June-Dec 2019; recommit 1/1/2020; skipped out April-July 2020)
- Daily Vitamins (Dr’s orders; need to not ignore)
- Drink less alcohol (4 AF days per week; ~16 AF days per month; limit 1-2 glasses per day)

08/15 - 235 - Ready for 2nd round of being back on track and checking in daily! Don’t worry about the little bump up on the scale.
08/16 - 234.5 - My son lost 80 lbs and his wife 50 since February. We had dinner at their house last night. Never thought I would eat cheesecake and take more pieces home on a diet. My first time trying Keto and finding it hard to mentally adjust monitoring low carbs instead of low fat.
08/17 - 234.4 - My weekly weigh in on Monday! Down 4 lbs from last week. Calories have been high over the weekend though I’m on target for the net carbs. Need to work on getting my total calorie intake lower.

No walk today, just trying to catch up on the housework instead. I found individual portions of brie, which really helps avoid going overboard on it.

8/17 156.2 OMG. I worked my butt off this weekend. Hiked a tough 7 miles and rode a ton. Why am I up so much? I ate quite a bit, but I didn't gorge... I know I'm retaining water. I've noticed anytime I have a really tough workout day or weekend, I'm unusually up for a day or two before it comes back off. But I'm not counting on that and I've been on a slow creep up. Tracking today.4 -

08/17 - 316.6 - And after 2 days of eating, not too bad of an uptick. And down 3.7 over last week. I start a new job today, so... nervous. The cortisol could also have something to do with the uptick.
