So.... that's measuring my beer belly across my belly button - to my hips (around my narrower portion where my pelvis is) - where I wear my jeans - so my ratio is upside down ... say it's 40/38 and it needs to be the other way around 34/38 for health?

I've heard it's officially belly button - but for me, I have the typical guy "beer belly" where my thinest point is a couple inches below my belly button, over my hip bones - so my belly hangs over my belt. I think for terms of measuring - I would want to to measure my progress on my fattest part, not the skiniest part.

I drink a couple cups of coffee in the morning. When I get to work, I drink a 12oz water (chug it). When I have to pee, I drink another 12 oz water, and just recycle and repeat throughout the day. I drink a lot of coffee, so I've started drinking a 12oz water when I get up to get another coffee.

I weigh every morning, after using the bathroom, naked. 3 times on the scale, to get the same number, then I log it. I chart it - and yes, sometimes it bounces up and down, but I can see a trend line, and it helps motivate me. You can use fins doing a frog kick (aka breast stroke). It's difficult to learn. You'd look kinda funny. You'd get the same exercise benefit just swimming longer and faster.

I just went outside for lunch (and my water) to sit in the sun and read - it's about 90 ... I didn't even break a sweat after an hour.

After fasting most of the day - coming in significantly under my calorie goal (I know, I know) - and 2 hours of light cardio for almost 1000 Calories, and drinking water all day (glass out, glass in, glass out, glass in...) - The scale tonight after exercise was back to "normal" from 222 down to 216.8.

What's really shocking - is that in my "old life" - I would'a considered this a "lite day". I had a "healthy" lunch of 3 vegies, breaded chicken breast, water - then a dinner of appetizers and a beer, then desert of 2 candy bars.
