Clothes that were too tight but now fit is one of the best feelings! And a definite motivator.

SW: 165 CW: 160 I'm only half way to my original goal, and since I'm going on vacation on Thursday, I doubt I'll drop the additional 5 lbs to reach my target … but fingers crossed. Despite not making it to 155 lbs, I've been pleased with my progress. I've reduced my workouts per week slightly, but I'm ok with that since…

I've tried running before, but quite simply my knees prevent me from trying it anymore. I've torn the cartilage. I also tend to hyperextend them as I land when running, which is no good, and landing me on crutches for a few weeks until the swelling went down. That being said those are my experience while trying running.…

Today was painful! I felt super lethargic and was dragging myself around the gym tonight without any motivation. This is something I usually won't allow myself to do. My usual approach to the gym is that if I've managed to make it there, I'd better make my work out count or I may as well have stayed home. Since today has…

1) SW: 165 CW: 161 (down 1 lb since last week) 2) No major changes. Just trying to keep within my calorie allowance, which is relatively easy except when I eat out, and go to the gym/aquafit/yoga/etc. 5 days a week. 3) Motivation-wise: the fact that I'm heading to Hawaii in 11 days in keeping me motivated at the moment.…

My weight has been going up and down all week too! It's super annoying. Hopefully today's workout at the gym will balance out lunch out.

) Start weight/ Current weight: SW: 165 / CW: 163. One pound gained since last weigh in. 2) What's working for you/ what isn't? Working for me: fitting in the workouts even when I feel like curling up on the couch. Not working for me: chinese buffet, work stress. I had a bunch of surprise projects come up last week with…

Ack! No work out today AND it was my grandmother's 80th birthday dinner at a chinese restaurant. I ballparked my calories … it wasn't good. Will have to hit the gym extra hard tomorrow.

Just came back from the gym, which was necessary since I made some poor food choices for dinner. Good workout and managed to get back under my calorie goal … just.

deep water aquafit + under on calorie goal = good day

Meh, today ended up better than I thought it would. I was feeling so blah and unmotivated today. I think my saving grace was being run off my feet busy at work, aka too busy to go find snacks, and Netflix wasn't working tonight, so I dragged myself to the gym. Got in a decent workout. Stayed under my calorie goal.…

Eeek! Today feels like it's been a bad day … I didn't plan my meals well, I stayed under but I don't feel great about my food choices. I also had a quick session with my personal trainer this morning, but we were focused on trying out some new weight training exercises to add to the routine, so it felt like an easy work…

I hear ya! I have a trip planned to Hawaii in a few weeks and have been working out a tons trying to get comfortable in a bathing suit … it seems not a pound has budged from any of the key areas! Although I'm sure I'll be the envy of everyone at the beach with my skinny wrists and shrinking boobs! Keep working, it'll…

Kudos to you re: the kettle bell! Those things scare the bejeezus out of me!

1) SW: 165 CW: 162 = 3 lbs lost = woohoo! 2) I'm feeling pretty good about this first week. I'm a little surprised about the 3 lbs lost. I wasn't expecting it … definitely hoping for it, but not expecting it since my weight loss seems slow lately. I've definitely been doing my best, Easter dinner not withstanding, although…

Halva, any chewy candies (I think I like the way they feel more than how they taste!), pastries, crackers. I try not to have these in the house, or if I do buy them, I'll only buy enough for 1 or 2 servings otherwise it's a slippery slope to tummy aches and shame!

Today was ok. Haven't had time to go to the gym and I went out for dinner, but I think I managed to stay either just under or just over my calorie goal … hard to know for certain with restaurant food. I think I'll try to hit the gym tomorrow morning and go to deep water aquafit tomorrow night. I also have a session with a…

Another good day: below my food limit and went to deep water aquafit … I'm just hoping it'll show on the scale. :)
-
Today was another good day: stayed just under my food goal; went to the gym and did 30 mins cardio, 20 mins strength and 10 mins stretching and foam rolling. Hoping to keep this up.
-
Today I ate healthy and within my limit AND this included eating a few pieces of salt water taffy my assistant brought back from her trip to Portland. I am also about 30 mins away from heading to my regular deep water aquafit class. My total steps so far today have been low … I really need to remember to get up and away…

My workout routine lately has consisted of: 3 days of deep water aquafit. I am by far the youngest in the pool, but I love the workout! It's easy on my bad knees and ribs and you stay cool and refreshed throughout. 2-3 days at the gym with at least 30-45 mins of medium intensity cardio (usually interval training style,…

Today I dusted off my Flat Belly Diet Cookbook, not because I believe in diets per se, but because it's full of great recipes and meals under 400 calories. And I find I eat better when I've planned my meals for the week. I also went to the gym and did 30 mins of cardio and another 20 strength training, followed by 10 mins…

I overate, but not so much that I'm freaking out about it. I knew it would happen, so I made sure to work out extra the previous days and will spend some extra time at the gym tomorrow. :)
-
Anything from the Flat Belly Diet Cookbook. And don't worry, it's less diet-like and way more yum! There's things like oven baked fries with garlic and parsley and chocolate stuffed french toast with berries, but every meal tops out at 400 calories. Even my partner loves when I make something from it and he has nothing to…

This is exactly what I need to keep me motivated on a rather gloomy spring day! SW: 185 CW: 165 GW: 155 (I'm also ok with not dropping 10 lbs in 5 weeks as long as things firm up nicely.) My inspiration at the moment is a trip to Hawaii planned for May 22! When I was younger and much more fit I had a penchant for teeny…

I recommend getting it checked out by a doctor (preferably a sports med doctor). It could be nothing major and adjusting your form or changing up your shoes could be all that's needed or it could be an indication of a knee injury ... and they suck! A few years back I went from working out with my trainer 4 days a week and…

I hate the sweetness of soda but love the bubbles, so I drink tons of club soda. Sometimes plain, sometimes with a slice of lime (and vodka), and if I'm craving something a bit sweeter I'll add a squirt or two of Mio or a splash of cranberry juice. You might to give it a try.

Getting there nicely indeed. You look fantastic!

I ate the cake and the ice cream, and it was delicious! Here's hoping there's no more baking adventures tomorrow ... I'm debating hiding the sugar before I go to bed!
