  • I just joined! I have been struggling a lot with my weight and working out this year, so hopefully being in a group with other riders will help :) Next month I am starting a quarter lease on a fantastic horse (and hopefully will do a half lease starting in January) and I owe it to myself to lose weight and get in better…
  • I started yesterday! Feel free to add me as well. I know I'll need the encouragement. I am so sore today.. I am planning on taking a 20 or so minute walk before doing day 2 tonight.
  • Run for your lives looks like so much fun! They had one in CA this weekend.
  • I'm not saying that. I was just using it as an example since it is related. I am not going to avoid what is heavy for me because I don't want to be a bodybuilder. When I hear "heavy lifting" I see in my head a bunch of people lifting massive amounts of weight. I'm saying that probably won't be me because I am not going to…
  • I realize that. Keep in mind that yesterday was my first time with free weights. On the machines, I do at least triple the amount of weight. Sad to say, but 10 pounds for the dumbbell bench press (and incline) was heavy for me. I tried the 15 and could only do it three times. I will obviously increase weight as I get…
  • Yeah, I'm not doing "heavy" lifting. I am pretty much a beginner at free weights and the different muscles that are needed are so not strong yet. I've also not been exercising on a regular schedule and only just started back up this month after a few months off. I'm a noob. My ultimate goal to just get back on the horse…
  • I wasn't doing high intensity cardio (a comfortable zone 2 according to my HRM).. I ended up being able to do about 30 min. We did upper body for lifting and my cardio was on the bike. Earlier in the year, I was working out 5-6 days a week and I would do the weight machines M T TH F with cardio (for about an hour total…
  • A coworker did this and lost no weight. He said he felt better after a few weeks, but no weight loss. The person who sold him the product lost about 40 pounds on it.
  • What I have also done is create a little card (from a spreadsheet) that lists what my maintenance, BMR, and minimum calories needed with exercise in 5 pound increments. That way I always know what those numbers are. I put it in my purse so I always have it with me.
  • I'm sure if you can get the stats somewhere online (Iike maybe the square footage), you could guesstimate it? I don't live in NO, but nearby. I dislike going to NO ;)
  • Dry eyes. Contacts end up giving me headaches. And I looove contacts. I was going to try the dailies but I could afford both glasses and contacts. Next year I'm thinking about trying them because I prefer to wear contacts!
  • I've been riding since I was 12. In my early twenties I didn't ride regularly due to college. I had a horse from the ages of 14-19. He was an OTTB and we primarily evented. Also did the random h/j show now and again. He was my heart horse. He saved my life. I hope to have another like him someday. He was put down at age 28…
  • I'm Lovin this thread as well!! 5'10 here. I'd love to end up at 150 but my goal right now is 160. Started last June at 250 and currently 215 (had a set back for the first half of this year). Feel free to add me. I'd love some tallies as friends!!
  • I'm 5'10 and at my smallest (155) I was a size 10. I was a size 12 around 170 or so and size 14 around 185/90. I look damn good in a size 10/12. I have an hour glass figure and I have hips and large rear. It really depends on how you are shaped.
  • 5'10 HW: 250 CW: 218.4 GW: maybe 150-160. May be higher/lower when I get there :) -Kat Ps- please feel free to add me!!!
