  • I hurt my back while in the middle of an exercise program and kept to my diet and maintained my weight. Often times a rest period is need to let the body rest and recover. Stay focused and eat right, hope you recover fast.
  • I have been cooking sweet potatoes on the bbq for years. Cut in slices not, too thick, toss in a little olive oil, seasoning salt and chipolte powder. Cook on the grill until soft, they will start to brown a bit. Love dipping them in bbq sauce.
  • I am sure you will be able to find tons of cookbooks that will help you along your journey. I would personally recommend The Biggest Loser Cookbooks and also Now Eat This by Rocco Dispirito. Stay strong, the change is hard but you will feel so much better afterwards.
  • Your shoes may be too tight. my wife had this problem and bought a 1/2 size bigger and it does not happen anymore. Your feet swell during exercise and can cause poor blood circulations to that area. Just a thought.
  • I have recently started working out in the mornings. Summer is here so its nice to spend time with the wife and dog at night. Plus if things come up they always come up at night and not at 5 am.
  • I am addicted to the fruit and nut ix from Costco. Wow. I have to watch myself or I cold eat a whole bag.
  • I ordered PB2 a while back and it just arrived. It tastes like peanut butter without any sugar. Depending on how you use it you may like the results, my wife did not, I like it. Add it to protein shakes or use it when making granola or candied nuts for added flavor and not fat.

  • To get an accurate count you need a heart rate monitor. I started using mine recently and it has become a great tool. Got it for around $45 on amazon. Timex. I started P90x this morning and burned 700 or so doing the work outs. The harder you push yourself the more you will burn, just don't over do it.

  • You sound like my wife. Our trainer told me to hid the scale. Can anyone hide your scale for you?
  • Tattoo for me. I plan on getting a half sleeve. Now to design it.
  • Cliff bars and cliff builder bars. Great choices IMO
  • Lifting weights can add muscle. One pound of fat takes up more area than one pound of muscle. I would not worry about it right now and would probably ask your trainer. If you lean up your body then you will burn more calories while at rest which is where building muscle becomes very beneficial. Your trainer should be able…
  • I eat about a cup of broccoli, 1/4 cup snap peas and about 1/4 cup of baby carrots before lunch. Appetizer I guess. All Raw. If helps fill my stomach and keeps me fuller for longer also. Plus I do like veggies so its easy for me.
  • I am not an expert but I do not think you want a lot of calories right before you go to sleep. Thus the not eating after 8:00. (of course this is relevant as to when you go to bed) Have you tried any protein bars? They are an easy on the go calorie source. Cliff bars are good and also Cliff Builder which have more protein.…
