I cook my diced potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and 1tb. vinegar in enough chicken broth to cover them for about 20 minutes or until potatoes are almost done. Whisk together some skim milk and flour- I do 5 Tb flour to 2 Cups skim milk, add it to the soup and cook and stir til thickened. You…

2300 is not alot when breastfeeding. I eat between 2300 and 2800 and i'm breastfeeding. And that's with lighter exercise than p90x. I'm on maintenance.

I would like to know too! They drive me CRAZY!!!

bump!! Looks yummy.

Awesome job!! :flowerforyou: Did you follow their diet or just eat healthier in general?

I am breastfeeding an 11 month old. She still nurses very frequently so I add 500 calories. There is a lady on here who put "breastfeeding mom" in the food database so you add it to your diary and it subtracts cals, carbs, and fat. I am eating between 2000 and 2500 cals a day and losing slowly. (I only have a few pounds to…

Here is a helpful link. http://www.kellymom.com/nutrition/mom/mom-weightloss.html I personally add 500 calories because my daughter nurses frequently. I am on maintenance right now and so far it's working. I think everyone is different but you need to make sure and eat enough because even though your milk supply might not…

No problem.

Go to teambeachbody.com and sign up. It's free. They have a daily caloric needs calc. I figured my daily needs if I wasn't doing anything, then figured my needs doing a beachbody routine. They have a list to choose from. I took the difference ( needs doing workout minus needs doing nothing) and manually put it in the…

You can get Hormel Natural Choice lunch meats at Wal-mart and Jewel. They are only a few bucks at Wal-mart.They are with all the other packaged lunch meats. Jewel carries Hormel Natural Choice bacon that is awesome!! I usually wait till it goes on sale bogo and stock up and freeze it. Its usually around 6 dollars a package…

I like Earth Grains 100% whole wheat. The also make thin buns that are 100% whole wheat or 100% whole grain. They are 100 cals each. I don't like the Arnold sandwich thins cuz they put sucralose in them! Which makes me sad because I always used to like their breads. Natures Pride is good too.

Thanks for all your responses. :flowerforyou: I'm going to put my calories at maintenance, add in my breastfeeding calories, and work on toning up. Then after I tone up and build a little more muscle, if I feel I still have unwanted fat to lose I will try and diet it off carefully. Hopefully I will see results soon!!!…

I guess my main question is this. Is it possible to build muscle and lose fat at the same time without a calorie deficit? AND will this make me smaller in the long run?
-
I have wondered if that might have something to do with my stubborn fat areas. I'm hoping not though.

Well, when I first started I was 123. I felt like I had about 8 pounds of fat to lose. 115 is still in healthy range on a BMI calc. I am small framed. I'm not sure what 8 pounds of fat looks like though so that number isn't set in stone. My main concern is that I am unhappy with the way my body looks. I thought to get rid…

here's the thread I was talking about. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/83601-why-you-gain-when-starting-a-new-workout?hl=why+you+gain+weight+when#posts-1149925

When I first started I gained a few pounds instead of losing. It was very frustrating. Then I read a thread somewhere about why you gain weight when first starting an exercise routine. In short it was something along the lines of your muscles holding on to water to protect them because they are unused to working out. I…

Wow! Good for you!! I'm the same. I can't eat "just one" piece of pizza. It's almost worse than eating none at all. It's all or nothing when it comes to my favorite foods. And it's much harder to resist than to give in! I still struggle with saying no to junk. So good job!! I know it's hard.

bump! I love banana muffins!

One thing you could do to make your favorite meals a little healthier is to substitute. For example your sloppy joes. Just use lean beef instead of fatty, use whole wheat buns, make homemade oven fries instead of curly fries, and have a vegetable instead of corn. That's what I do and then you still get to have the meals…

Do a search on here for sassy water. It's a recipe from a diet book and helps release water. Someone posted the recipe on here. It has water, cucumber and ginger.

Don't worry about it! Protein is good and it would be very hard to go dangerously over.
