I do this to. I weight and measure my lunch every morning. I always look over menus before i go out to eat and pick the meal I want. I will add my all my meals for the day mid-afternoon just to see where I will be at and sometimes I will have give or it will motivate me to push harder or go an extra 10-15 min.

I will start going off my Fitbit HR monitor for my workout sessions. I am going to try and do my workouts in the mornings- at least the cardio part. I am 5'6" and 220, you are correct. I want to get back to 160-170 where I was the happiest with my body. I do weight, with the measuring cup for cottage cheese, i do put it on the scale and it is 115g which is what the nutrition facts do day for 1/2 cup.

I do weight my foods on a scale. I have been at this since December and I have only seen 4lb loss. When I cook I dont use oil, I will just use water and I rarely add seasoning to anything because I really like the natural flavor of food.

Binge eating is a problem, late night chocolate cravings. Sometimes I give in to them but sometimes I can fight it. So far Since December I have lost 1.5 inches on my waist and hips, and only a half inch on my thighs. I try to tell myself my thighs are not losing because of the late night snacking. I weigh my food by grams and do not sneak bites. I log everything even if I decide to have wine or vodka on weekends. I also measure the oil I use too. I'm not lifting enormous amounts of weights, like 10lb Dumbbells. I do about 50 lbs with the leg attachment on my weight bench.

Thank you for the responses! I do think I am going to give it a go. I normally eat meat and veggies. I am not a huge fruit person. I do need to stay away from carbs...thats my weakness.

I am also eating less (calorie wise) and drink less and I am GAINING!!! I can not find anything that wants to work. I stay dedicated to working out and eating right but my body is like "nope its cold out I am putting fat on you like it or not"
