Hi everyone..Dee here, I live in leicestershire and fresh from my fist ever marathon in Toronto..a year to the day I started c25k at the ripe old age of 46....UK running friends always welcome!

I'm looking to run a full in late fall...I ran my first in May this year. I think you are very handily placed with a long run of 14 miles and around 5 months to train... Go for it!

Might come as a shock to YOU but there could be the faintest possibility that women really couldn't give a sun-dried turd about YOU if they look good? again, not to destroy your ego, but they might well work to get in shape for THEMSELVES and not for YOUR approval... just sayin'

I think it's highly derogatory. Being a mother and a woman merits more than being reduced to an object of sexual desire by people who would pretty much sleep with anyone...your redeeming feature to these people is that you are someone who they would like to have sex with DESPITE the fact that you have had children.. How…

If you havn't trained with sport beans then DON'T use them on your race..same applies to equipment like shoes, clothing etc...don't do anything different frpom your training.

Nikes..went through 3 pairs of Vomero 7's for marathon training, ran my marathon in Vomero 8's..use Nike Frees for short runs up to 6 miles. I tried asics once and it felt like strapping a gigantic marshmallow on my foot...no need for me to wear anything else.

Play it forward..I was new to this once too...and my 'new' friends are just as supportive as those I have known since Day 1 of my journey. This community element of mfp is what really makes it work.

I really liked it..the coconut flavour, not the funky mango coconut one. I really liked it LOL..but only drink it occasionally to rehydrate after a very long run..you can't beat good old fashioned water.

1. I thought I would die before 55 if I didn't do something...and my nieces were too embarrassed to be seen with me 2. The Support of my friends..they are incredible people 3. I have hit my goal weight a long time ago, only just set a new one to be a little more streamline for running...I'm still here :-)

The " eat less move more " plan..has worked for me.

It IS a mind game, and to be honest, I progressed through 5k,10k's, 10 miles, half marathons but never ever actually entered any races until my first marathon. Since I finished that, i have become mentally 'flat' and struggled to focus with the same intensity. Don't compare yourself with other runners or other…
