yep. me too, but I hook up a Gatorade IV drip before I do.

the amount of food you eat is also a factor in weight loss. set up a goal with mfp and fit that in around whatever time you have to workout.

I was 45 when I attempted weight loss with this odd " eat less, move more" fad diet and was amazed it worked..I almost dropped 100 lbs in 8 months.

there's a game called ' golds gym' which is a boxercise game..the lbs literally melted off me when I used to play it. also, the free wii boxing can get the heart rate up

nothing wrong with drinking it, but i don't believe it has any qualities that can boost endurance/performance/metabolism etc… but al least it's not doing you any harm.

the best shoes are the ones that work for you. get fitted correctly at a decent running store and pick one from those that match your running profile.

Really? did she honestly say that? because she DIDN'T…and you know she didn't infer that. go troll somewhere else.

I started at 45 years old and 280 lbs. I'm 170 now 18 months later and knocking on the door of my second marathon. what are you waiting for? Oh yeah..I also suffer from chronic pain and cervical spondyolosis.

a BMI of 25 suggests you arn't overweight. do you have vanity issues?

Don't worry about what ANYONE thinks of you, let alone other runners. Runners tend not to be judgemental, but this is your race and yours alone. Train with dedication and have a fantastic race experience. The advice of starting too fast is very important…running 10km is totally totally different to running 5k in 30…

a friend called me this evening and was complaining I wasn't answering my phone this afternoon. I told him I was running. he asked " how long?" " 18.5 miles", I said. Pause " you are a f*****g lunatic, do you know that?" he replies… that is the biggest compliment you can give a runner.

just putting it out there…wouldn't this question be better answered by a health care professional instead of people on the internet?

Brilliant. Deserves to be a 'sticky'.

also, if you wanted to lose weight without eating less, I suggest a 2 week trip to Bangladesh and eat where the locals eat. That should do the trick.

£8.00 I get as much coffee as I like, a detailed analysis on solving geo-political problems, sports updates and the latest in politically incorrect jokes thrown in. And a warm welcome.

the need to post topic this suggests the original poster has absolutely no interest in fitness or working out.

eat the curry. enjoy it. next day, get back on track. it's a lifestyle choice, not a jail term :-)

real men don't need a gym.

To warm up with at the start of a long run: "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Rolling Stones. After that, it's all Def Leppard, Van Halen, Springsteen and Bon Jovi.

it really depends on the person, level of training and preparation. I personally believe it's more important to enjoy the event, especially if it is your first one.

YES it does get easier!!! And you did exactly the right thing by going back and doing a previous week again. It took me SIX separate attempts to crack c25k before I got it to work for me, and I ended up running a full marathon a year to the day I made me 6th and final c25k attempt. To make it a little easier on yourself,…

Hi Matt.. I started with the same goals as you, to reduce fat and improve my blood pressure, cholesterol etc. I started with food regulation and straight cardio…riding a bike 12-20 miles 4 times a week, and then getting into c25k and now long distance running. Cardio with a decent healthy diet is what worked for me, but I…

Seriously…THIS ^^^ is such sound advice. Train for it, c25k is a great place to start, but enjoying the event is something that is equally important :-)
